I see where your coming from, it really would have been best to just release the DLC as a patch for everybody. the only thing that differs in this situation is that PC players have had to wait till now to play ANYTHING Dark Souls related. as a result, everybody paying any attention to the pc release and dark souls in general has already been spoiled for them. i was fortunate to be one of the frivolous people that bought the ps3 and pc edition. I only bought PC so i could play online

This is stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID.! I got demon souls the day that game came out, i played it so much my disc cracked, i dident care i just got a new disc. Then dark souls came out and once again i was standing outside the shops in rain freezing my *** off just so that i could play this game... When the pc port/dlc was announced i was happy, when i heard that i would have to wait a bit more for the dlc i was still happy but 4 months?????!!!!!!!!!! WTF is this ****, i gave my time and money to this game, WE GAVE OUR TIME AND MONEY! Just so we can get *** like that, coz i mean they *** us preety hard this time....

Now to make a million new e-mails and fake names so i can sign this!!!!!

Well I got it for PC since it's my main platform. They kinda screwed themselves over with the release date though , since most PC gamers including myself are looking forward to Guild Wars 2 , so yeah not the best planned port in the history of gaming but well.... least it works (mostly.)

I'm only going to say this cause it's been on my mind all day since looking through the forums and just silently reading a lot of the discontent with how the forums are being ruined by the spoilers and a lot of people wanting to leave or never play Dark Souls again.

This isn't suppose to be anything spiteful and I'm signing the Petition as we speak cause it is a worthy cause.

But we all had prior knowledge of this going to happen with the spoilers and that we would have to wait months after the release of the PC version, and were just now putting in a petition?

I'm sorry if that offends anyone in anyway I just feel that we've taken up arms now for something we all knew was coming and we weren't doing anything about til day 1 of PC release.

I mean it should be a pretty grand day cause I mean so many people liked the game that they wanted to make a port(Although not the best port.) but still there's a lot of positive things about that and I'm no game designer or director or anything I don't really know the dealings and Namco Bandai does sound pretty sketchy for making us console players wait but it might be one of those things that take time.

Anyways I really do admire what you guys are doing with this, But honestly today has been what seems like a depressing day when I guess I felt it should have been a win in our books for expanding our fanbase and welcoming more people to the community. I do understand those peoples feelings of having to feel left behind by From and Namco and not being able to play the DLC til later but I'm not a lot of you and your feelings differ from mine.

I'm sorry I just needed to say my 2 cents I'm willing to take some heat for that I'm new and don't know a lot of you as much but I just needed to say it.

I think the issue for some, or just me, is that we didn't realize the gravity of the spoilers. I won't say any spoilers of course but it caught me completely off guard the type of content they were doing, and I'm pissed at myself for not predicting it.

i'm just mad because i spent months trying to find the use of a certain item just to find out that the entire time it was all for nothing

Yeh we knew it wouldn't be the land of milk and honey but, 4 months man. I was worried about 2 months and 2x that is a piss taker...

I don't hope to get the dlc faster, i want it, i need it, i DESERVE it, we all deserve it!!

Some are saying October, others are saying more. I'd say at least October, at most four months.

@Frostacar: Thanks, i really appreciate you still signing besides your disagreement with peoples behavior. I for one was immediately pissed about this, and had suggested a petition back then xD. I think its mainly people just didn't care until everyone was off playing the PC version and posting about all the new goodies. I for one don't understand the complaint of spoilers, i knew i would not be able to frequent the forums unless i wanted spoilers. This is what this petition is all about, there's no good reason to segregate the fan base like this. It's bad business practice, and we are just calling attention to it. Thanks a lot for being positive, you wouldn't believe some of the negativity I've been encountering just bringing this up in other forums and chats.

Until i hear namco bandai officially announce Oct i will go by there official announcement of "winter". I don't consider Oct winter. We are at 38 sigs and counting, if we have 100 at least by this time tomorrow we are off to a decent start. I am aware that they could announce Oct release, BUT we can't really wait and do nothing.

I guess it didn't hit me how much it was going to suck to be left out of all the fun. This is my favorite game of this generation, it really hurts me that others are out playing (a massive amount of new content with new weapons, bosses, and armors), discovering the lore answers we all have been tirelessly trying to piece together for months, and are getting a brand spanking new PvP arena complete with nerfs of OP items.

October is acceptable, not great, but acceptable. After all, PC gamers had to wait a whole year before even getting a chance to play the game at all.

October actually is acceptable to me also, or maybe more so tolerable. Apparently the japanese release is slated for October or something like that.

We all knew the release dates would be different, but we didnt know it would affect us like that.
It is a bit late to want it to be released earlier, but it's never too late to complain and make them know we are not happy with this, so this can never happen again.

Thanks guys! I'm glad we are at least trying, im getting some negative reactions but im doing best to stay civil about it. I'm glad the idea wasn't just shot down, i think we can at the very least turn winter into fall

No im not because I dont have a good enough computer to play it but also simply because I like to play it on a console.

I have to seperate my Uni work and Gaming otherwise Ill just game all the time.
