Just shot him with arrows, he died but nothing in my inventory
Luckily this is on NG+ and I have all the stuff I need for this character, but still....
Maybe it is somewhere in the DLC area, I don't know.

THATS why you should never kill anyone unless you have to or are about to fight gwyn. seriously though that is baaaddddd

There are people on PC who've killed Ingward and autolooted the key, so it must be a bug.

same thing happended to me now:
killed him on my first playthrough with 2 characters and got the key twice,
killed him on one NG+ and he didnt drop it.

I killed him with arrows without talking to him (I think I had lordvessel on my inventory), and I got the key!
Seems like this is pretty random.. I had read about it, and was scared it wouldn't drop.. On my next char I'll just buy some arrows and go kill him right away.
Btw, can you kill him from below that "bridge"(with the shortcut), or will I need to go past 50 ghosts, activate the shortcut, and go there again?
