Glad you like it. I won't have as much time to write now that school is back, but I'll still hopefully update IAEPTS every 4 days at maximum.

Do have the story written out already somewhere, or are you just writing off-the-cuff whenever you sit down to write a part?

Never planned a single update. Everything is pretty much done on the spot.

It sounds more girly in the show, less exaggerated.

There was a massive shotstorm a few months back when they re-dubbed derpys voice. I prefer the re-dub, she sounds genuinely disabled originally.

Yeah she did, the new dub is better imo, less harsh, I can see why they wouldve changed it.

You weren't lied to. The version where she sounds more "goofy" (AND THAT'S ALL SHE SOUNDS LIKE :x ) is the original version they used when the episode first aired. The one where she sounds more

Re: Brony Thread
Oh, I must never have heard the re-dub, because I saw the Last Round-Up on YouTube from a video that went up 2 days after the original release so I imagine that it still had Derpy's original voice. Could someone shoe me the re-dub?
Probably good that they changed it, I'm surprised they didn't catch any flak from Down's Syndrome groups or any of that, because that voice is really exaggerated.

Re: Brony Thread
The new voice kindof allows for derpy to be a more common character, the old one would get annoying after too many lines.

They did catch flak. ALOT of flak. It's the reason her voice was
Oh, and I should mention, it wasn't from Down Syndrome people. People with Down Syndrome actually spoke out saying how they liked her. It was the helicopter parents who whined and complained.

lol. So many dislikes.
I gotta say I'm more partial to the original voice, because that one at least had character, the new voice just sounds like that of a regular little girl. There's nothing defining about, which is a shame.

Cripes, Reaper, you really have strong feelings about this issue don't you?
Though after hearing the new (boring) voice I do come down on your side of the argument, they effectively stripped Derpy of much of her je ne sais quoi.

It's mostly because I was there when it happened. Derpy's canonization was the first shout-out the creators made directly to and as a result of the Bronies. Our little foothold in the show because it was something we as Bronies had created as opposed to just the "hidden adult humor" they put in occasionally for us. She was something concrete that showed that the creators didn't just acknowledge us as a fanbase, but really recognized us.
So when the helicopter parents started complaining about "waaaaahhhhh, I don't want my kids to know that mentally challenged people exist, get rid of this character so my kids won't have to be exposed to this insensitivity!" and then Hasbro caved to them, we felt kind of betrayed.
I understand why they did it, after all, despite everything the Bronies were never the target audience, and Hasbro wouldn't want to do something that jeopardized their main source of viewers just for a shoutout. I don't hate them for doing it, I just hate that it happened at the whims of parents who don't realize the difference between "affectionate parody" and "offensiveness."
In the immortal paraphrasing of a legitimately wise Youtube Commenter:
'What little kids thought when they watched Derpy: "Who's this silly new pony?"
What the Bronies thought when they watched Derpy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geTCP666Yf4
What Parents thought when they watched Derpy: WHAT IS THIS SICK FILTH?!'
EDIT: If you thought my emotions were strong in that statement, I'll refer you to comments in the "chat reaction" video (that occured in real time of the episode premier) that say things like:
"I see they finally followed the fandom <16:05:11>"
"destroyer of canon, mender of bronies' souls <16:05:19>"
"this is the linking of bronies with the developer <16:06:17>"
"all bronies waited for this day! <16:06:18>"
And maybe most foreboding, "officially the most important episode ever <16:06:01>"

Re: Brony Thread
Very well said, Reaper. +1
On a related note, does anyone have any idea whether Derpy will be given any new lines in the near future? Or is she just so radioactive now that the creators would rather just forget about her and move on?

The official statement is that she will remain in the show as a background pony who occasionally causes hijinks, but will never be given a speaking role again.

Thats sad. RIP derpy, anything to appeas the public I guess, and well said Reaper, you've changed my mind to like the old Derpy more (on principle) Theres always gonna be nutjobs whose opinions are powerful but illogical.
RIP Derpy
Atleast there will be more shoutouts to Bronies in the future.

Might I suggest acquiring the episode in its un-edited form? By other means. That is what I did.

Sorry, mentally and physically handicapped people. You aren't funny enough to exist on cartoons.
I guess I should clarify it's sarcasm.
