I'm very good at math, at least in my class.

I've heard horror stories about stats...

Is that stats 0.o I got an A in stats and I aint entirely sure about how to go about that. I know standard deviation and I know mean but confidence level I have never encountered. But apparently its a plug the values into an equation thing so I'll try and get back to you momentarily.

15+/- 1.960(4/50) 50 being the square root of 2500 and 1.960 being from a table...
giving you... 15.16 or 15.2 to 3 sig fig. and 14.84 or 14.8 lol

Okay and how you arrive at the solution is using a formula which goes as follows: Mean +/- t*(standard deviation/ square root of N)


Mean which you are given
+/- (meaning that one of the boundaries will be adding and the other you will take away to find.)

t* which is a value which must be taken from a table which is gathered by looking on a table you should have since you have been asked to this
find the column with your desired confidence level and the row with N-1 which is your degrees of freedom apparently. read off the value in that cell.

your standard deviation which you are given and the number of samples you have which only needs to be square rooted before being used in the forumla
