Yeah, what was up with that? Hadn't really noticed until now that you mention it.

Apparently they just couldn't think of anything to do with her character for 2/3's of a season. She got a few episodes in by the end of the season though, so hopefully* they haven't run dry of Fluttershy ideas and season 3 won't be a repeat process.

Maybe I should edit my statement, as I now realize that Hasbro isn't in charge of episode plot developments, just owns the franchise and character names

Based on the "lore" on the toys all Hasbro can really do to the characters is mess them up lol!

I just can't believe they're taking as long as they are with it, they must be aware that this wait is bound to turn-off viewers. :|

bro, you should takes a step back and consider british TV lol.

A series, which is once a year is usually a length of 6-12 episodes at most. And that's even for shows that run half an hour.. you americans are lucky with your shows by comparison.

I suppose we are the nation of queuing and patience though, so they cancel out lol!

pretty much, the only show tv drama that has more episodes than the usual 12 is Doctor who, and that's only because of it's ridiculous history and popularity.

yeah, IT crowd deserved more, it was brilliant... funny thing is all the shows is just one series worth in american television lol!

It's not impatience, I just think it's a mistake. Make people wait this long and they'll be expecting an awesome season, if it doesn't deliver the show could flop and then who know what could happen.

Oh, it's most certainly impatience happy

There was also a line dropped by one of the developers (can't remember who though :|) that left a hint along the lines of:

"Season 3 may only be half as many episodes, but there's always the chance for more episodes with more seasons. Many, many more seasons..."

It's just annoying waiting like this for the gap to be bridged. It seems like everything I'm excited for is only going to start coming out in Oct. :suspect:

No, I just find the vast majority of British shows and comedians to be significantly better than American shows, the notable exceptions being Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert.

Hey guys, don't mean to break up the conversation so feel free to overlook this, just wanted to introduce myself. New to the community and just haPpened to come across this brilliant little thread. Been a big fan of the show since (almost) the beginning, wasnt introduced to it until episode 4 came out. Anyway, don't mind me, but I'll be randomly dropping in from time to time when the Dark Souls aspects of the forums aren't claiming all of my spare time.
