Luckiest hollow dead!

I just started farming for Dark Hand about 15min ago. I got 2 chucks after killing about 8 dark wraiths but the 9th kill.. titanite Slab. I read that the drop rates are insanely low but I got it in 9 kills. Dark souls must be saying sorry for making me waste one on a +5 crystal for the achievement.

its really random but i usually get a couple every hour or two.

Couple slabs every hour or two? You must have different Darkwraiths than I do.

I have never gotten a Slab drop off of a Darkwraith.

I got one on my way to pick up the ember earlier today from like the 3rd Darkwraith. I was pretty chuffed Usually takes waaay longer than that for me!

I farmed for a day straight and didn't get one, joined my friend's world and he gets one off his first kill.

Yeah it took me ages to get one the first time I tried, about 4 hours of farming in total I think. Ugh.

I've never seen a slab drop from a darkwraith, even with the gold serpent ring and lots of humanity. Guess my lucky moment just hasn't come yet. For me its usually like, chunk.....chunk.....dark hand.....2 chunks.....chunk.....COME ON lol.

I'm just happy when I manage to kill one. If they drop anything I take it as a bonus. Darkwraiths are my Achilles Heel in Dark Souls. I'm not ashamed to admit they frighten me. I think it's something to do with New Londo itself. The place is so dark and creepy, I'm a gibbering heap before I start and it doesn't get any better no many how many times I go there. In fact knowing where the Darkwraiths are hiding makes it worse. Reminds me of Resident Evil (the first one on Playstation) after the first time you met The Hunter and it's ripped your head off. The tension of knowing it was lurking in exactly the same place next time freaked me out.

New Londo gave me fits in NG+. Wasn't so bad in NG, but NG+.....those ghosts are 5 times worse. I actually made a quick run to Oswald (I think that's his name) to buy some RoS's.

The darkwraiths weren't too bad for me on NG+, as long as you take 'em one at a time...but the ghosts all like to mob me for some reason.

Those ghosts breed like rabbits in newgame+.

I actually got 3 slabs in literally under 1 hour in new londo a few nights ago. Bcc can confirm this ^_^
