Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
I personally believe it is extremely viable, I tend to use 0 poise builds because of the fact that it gives me a Demon's Souls - esque feeling to the game. Here is an example of a PvP video by myself showing that it is a rather fun and viable principle to use in pvp.

Of course its viable. Just recently switched to 0poise SL80 No shield toons and basicly killing the invadee or invaders. As well as exceeding on PvE currently on NG+4 With my Shadow Set toon. I prefer Fast roll over DWGR. Saves me a ring slot.

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
Is 0 poise viable? Why yes, of course, in the correct builds. Not every build needs poise (Fast attackers or S&S tanks) and not every build can go without it (Slow attackers).
If you know how to switch escape, you don't need poise except to be able to finish your attack animations so in the end, it all depends.

For serious pvp you put yourself at too much of a disadvantage, especially
considering you can get 31 with very little investment, I did however like
the video.

Speaking of 0 poise, does anyone have the frame data for the invincibility frames on the rolls?

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
If you know how to toggle escape parry then 0 poise can be an advantage, luring people to spam. However, with greatsword stunlocks no-longer possible post DLC, it might be too inconsistent to try this on the remaining stun-lockers (Curved swords, katanas)

Did Greatsword stunlock actually need to be fixed? They're not that popular in PvP except for the Moonlight GS anyways.

Yes.
Also, I've been experimenting with the Force miracle. The fighting style you can build around it works nicely with no poise. And it great with rapier's, it's like having a kick.

Its viable but I hate it. With a firey passion. No reason to not have some insurance really, unless its just a practice exercise. Even then, your playstyle would be affected, and one can argue that is not necessarily a good thing.

Eh that's a shame that they put a nerf on greatswords. They're slow enough as it is. I don't see anyone running around with a Greatsword normally, except the MLGS.

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
loads of people use the claymore, and in it's probably the most versatile sword in the game even without the stunlock. Greatswords are still well balanced and powerful.

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
Its viable if you use the rings and added equip to get as much dmg output as you possibly can. I had a buid i loved that used 0poise, but it used hornets ring. I thought that was a fair trade, cause i would have to land parrys first try and i couldn't poise bs. I got TONS of hate mail though, its pretty funny how i got hate mail for that from housewives with BKGAs trying to bs me xD

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
They're very viable with dex weapon specially rapiers, when I go Nigga poise I use he hornet ring rich seems like a fair trade but damn does it suck getting staggered by kirks armor, specially when I'm using a slow weapon like the greataxe. And yeah fun, I gen tons of hotmail from all the clones out there which is pretty funny since all they do is fish.

Ahh, its also extremely viable with the Murakumo... People think you're vulnerable but they eat a slash from your weapon and suddenly realize that they have made a bad decision.

I noted that, I thought it was Rants way of explaining things, just like him receiving hotmail from people.

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
I was thinking about it recently...I want to use the "ninja" set, with the fog ring and some stuff , but I'm having this doubt too, i guess it will be hard to fight agains havels armor

Its surprisingly easy to fight against people in the havels armor set. They tend to be rather susceptible to your fast hits whilst their claymore swings = a free parry.

Re: Is 0 Poise PvP Viable?
Very nice work, definitely looks like an MiT build if I've ever seen one.
My only suggestion is next time don't embed the video. You'll get a higher viewer counter and better data if people view it on youtube.
