Looking for your input for an Artorias mini bust statue to create and sell

I created the statues for namco bandai's "treasures untold" contest, along with 4 additional unreleased pieces, and mini's (approx 4-5 inches tall) of some of the characters.

I'm curious if there would be enough interest from people who would be willing to buy a mini bust of Artorias from the prepare to die edition, they will probably be around $50 + shipping, as they will be highly detailed and about the same size as the elite knight bust that I made.

I basically sold through the editions of black knights, elite knights, and executioner miraldas (I have just a few left), and I'm not planning to do additional runs unless there is a large number of people looking to purchase. You can see all of my work at www.futantshadow.deviantart.com/gallery/

I honestly prefer complete sculptures as opposed to busts. I would most certainly consider buying one if it wasn't a bust.

I would love to see a Kalameet sculpture. That dragon is just so awesome.

Try making a Hawkeye Gough sculpture, I won't buy but it'd be nice to look at!

Definitely take a look at his Nito Sculpture, that thing is to die for. If only I had that sort of cash to throw around.

If i had money and a credit card then i would buy at least 3 different sculptures. They're awesome

But yeah in regards to feedback, I can tell you people have a lot of interest in Artorias definitely. I can't tell you how many players will be cosplaying as him, so for the sake of getting the interest of people that's a good character to go with. If you want to maybe get the...Adult side of interest, I'm sure people would be interested in a Gwynevere bust haha. In regards to characters though, I know many are interested in Priscilla as well, and Cirian. Though perhaps with their focus on cloth or fur, the sculptures just might not be to your exact style, because I notice you like a lot of harshness similar to metal.

The Orenstein statue was contracted by namco, so I don't own it anymore, but I can make another (email me to discuss) and I may make a mini of him as a few people in the past have expressed interest as well (plus, I like his armor too).

I make the mini's as busts without arms and legs b/c it is the most simple way to cast, making it cheap enough to sell for $25-50 range (which most people can afford) and captures the most interesting aspects of the character. I am new to creating molds, and I've only made one so far that requires multiple pieces, but as I am trying to learn and become better at this I may try a dark souls character for a multi-piece mold to include arms and possibly legs (usually the legs just aren't that interesting). Perhaps I will try an 8"-12" full figure, casted. I've had some requests for the flute armor knight from demon's souls, which I may do if time.

Kalameet is a sick dragon, not sure if I want to tackle a dragon right now.. but it would be another good challenge to mold the body, head, legs, wings, and tail separately. I just don't know if anyone has around $200 to purchase such a piece.

I do like Priscilla, so that is a possibility (i would need very detailed pictures from all angles..), and I'm not sure who Cirian is (any reference photos?)

Well, how much of the new content is spoiled for you so far, or do you have the PC edition? I don't want to explain the parts you don't with to know about haha.

If I had my game copy I could get you those images of every angle, but I think I might be able to get someone to do it. TehinfamouAmos.

Sure, I will help you create a priscilla bust, would a video of me walking around her be better? it will allow you to pause at any point for the angles, although I could get the pictures also.

pictures of each angle would be ideal- focus on clarity and details of armor, jewelry, weapons, clothing, etc.
I'm not sure which character I will tackle next, like Artorias (which I found the concept art for so I may have enough for him), and I am also considering:
priscilla
ciarin (i have a couple good photos of her)
orenstein (i have plenty of him from namco when making their statue)
hawkeye gough (i have some good photos of him, like the concept art)

so I am leaning towards Artorias and Ciarin for the new characters in prepare to die edition, and may do a priscilla if there is enough interest in her (and i have good enough reference photos to do her justice).

I haven't played the new edition yet, not sure if I will any time soon (so busy with new art projects).

Anyway, if TehinfamouAmos or anyone else wants to help with in-game reference photos of any of these characters (aside from orenstein), that would much appreciated! my email is p.nordstrom@yahoo.com and would be the best place to send them to me

Nice to see a sculptor on the forum btw, I am an artist but I struggle drawing in a cartoon manner or drawing DkS characters. Your sculptures are amazing.

your drawing actually looks really good. cartooning is difficult for me also, as it is about being simple and expressive with as few lines as possible. unfortunately i can't help too much for this, as my style is very realistic and highly detailed. one thing i could say, is that when shading cartoon, it's usually one solid shade color, not line shading. but it really depends on what you are going for, and i think what you did with this works just fine. i'm not sure how much underlining/outlining of the piece before applying the ink, but it's important to have it all laid out as close as possible so the final is precise.

Indeed, I am a good artist for normal things. It is rather hard to be simplistic xD

I haven't made one yet! But if enough people are interested I will. Kalameet would probably be about 10"-12" long and 6" to 8" tall. I would need a lot of good reference photos too... are you interested in any of my other mini's? Amazing work man, you are very talented.

Im interested. I'd love one of the knight statues. But im no so big on busts myself. Website was a bi barren. But i didnt spend long there. Will look again. Can never feed the addiction enough.

Your woork seems very dood but i doubt you need me to tell you that. I have a lot of respect for people who are good at art. mainly because i struggle to draw even stickmen.

I absolutely love the Qualeeg Statue with O&S, as well as the Nito one, and your rendition of the Gaping Dragon is simply sublime, but I'm not too hot on busts.
