No, it wasn't. IMHO the Honor Wars period was the nadir of this space.

Imo it was a combination of Wyrms attitude to being defeated in wars that frustrated people into trolling him - and the trolling made his attitude escalate further. It was a vicious cycle. Neither side wished to make a change - the trolls did stop at stages then Wyrm would antagonize them again. It created a circle of loathing. I unfortunately was within that circle.

And the honor wars were a completely different thing. Even if they too were horrible.

Truth be told note Cherry left because she took the old version of martyrs word as law. She would antagonize people given any opportunity. It was primarily the trolls that were derailed and forced off the forum.

Yeah. It was mostly trolls who left at that time.

Really? If I remember who that is correctly, I liked that guy. That sucks.

For some reason I feel older from all these history lessons. Looking back, it feels like it did way back before I was even a regular, or even a member.

Yeah, I liked zombieboy too, he was the one who came up with all the Olympic-themed builds. What got him expelled was - you guessed it - an honor squabble.

As for Cherry, she was unhinged and perhaps a little bit deranged. Martyrs is now at very happy medium where my respect of him has skyrocketed.

I do remember the thread now, especially after seeing that I posted in it. It was a shame that it eventually got to him, I can understand the feeling as it's almost happened to me quite a few times.

Not really. Although the Darkmoons have often been the target of much of the rage of the community, so it sounds like something that would have happened.

Well it was when the forum started so you probably don't know about it.

When did the forum start? I remember being here just after the US/EU release, but I don't know if it started around the JP release.

The old forum was on the wiki, where I used to lurk. It was nowhere as organized as the current forum, and it was basically a bunch of threads asking questions. Because of how unorganized it was it was actually hard to tell if the Darkmoon hatred was around. Then this new forum came around. Everyone was excited and there were about 20 threads with polls because the old forum didn't have any. Now here it became more obvious that people disliked Darkmoons a rather great deal. If darkmoons were ever mentioned there would be a long argument about how dishonorable they were or whatever. There were a couple of threads solely based on trashing the Darkmoons.

I'm really surprised at how far this forum has come though. I remember when there used to only be like 7 people actually posting.
