I was at 11/1400ish hp left. The dude was just being mad aggressive with GCs and MLG. I got a lucky parry with my shield, and with my Chaos Rapier+5, I insta-killed him. =D

its worth it, i always have the wolf ring then switch to rtsr when in low vit which takes a sec to do. love getting kills with my crossbow that way, they never expect it.

Menu swap to it when it's appropriate. For the first 80% of your hp, it's useless. So having it equipped during that period is useless. But if you've arranged your menu so that you can swap to it with a memorized button sequence when you need to, it takes about a second to do and can turn a fight around in as much time.

Cannons and vit builds get the most out of it, cannons can always have it active and vit builds can have 20% hp be as high as 500ish hp.

Just this. Its very viable and can turn the tides of the battle, sure. But you will only reach its true potential if you feel really confident about it. Otherwise, when you get to low HP and your first feeling is "Gotta run and heal", Red tearstone is not for you.
