Chaos scales with Humanity .
The more Humanity you have the more Damage it does ( maxes out at 30 i think) .
Which makes Chaos superior to Fire since Humanities are easy to get your hands on ^^

I dont have +10 Fire Weapon so i cant compare .

Note that this is the PC version and i have 80 Humanities ^^
I think Chaos Weapons focus more on Fire instead of Phys while the Fire Weapons have split them equally

But the chaos weapons also have more fire AR than physical AR, while the fire weapons have equal fire/physical. So they do more damage in PvP due to diminishing returns (i don't really understand it myself, but that's how it works).

I have like 30 humanity and it does not scale more than 10. I compare chaos Iaito and its fire equivalent. Just 8 damage...
Also, for some reason my chaos blade dishes out more DMG than chaos Iaito

That's because the chaos blade is pure physical AR, while the elemntal wepaons have split AR

^Looks pretty clear. But the question is still up - why the heck should I consider looking at Fire +10 at all, if I always have 10+ humanity (or able to farm it) and thus - always have more damage output with Chaos +5?
I thought, that, maybe, Chaos Fire attack is different from simple Fire, and should ignore a part of Fire resistance...

The fire path is essentially useless IMO, much like the raw path.
