Ive noticed recently a huge increase in players Poising up and 2H R1 spamming a curved sword, this is insanely effective and insanely annoying obvs parrying helps, Anyone else notice this or anything similar?

look on the bright side, their range is severely underwhelming, and only the PGS has bleed. They're completely at the mercy at the farther reaching GS and UGS, as well as the halberds and scythes.

The PGS is my favorite weapon in the game. It does have the highest dps of all weapons AND has bleed!
I don't JUST r1 spam, I play very very aggressive with curved swords. Only way to use them in my opinion. The dash r1 is godly for people who turtle. I made a Havel user run for his life against my low-defense pure dex build.
Loving my Pharis pvp character.

A lot of time it'll still tear you down before you can get a second swing off. By the time you get locked and eventually escape it, you're down to next to no hp. And about to bleed out.

That's why don't let them come close to you. I use bows and long weapons to keep them away, and if they come too close then i BS or parry them.
Luckily, most people who are using this tactic aren't very good.

Organized inventory, put on Wolf Ring instead of DWGR, parry.
Done.

Since the new patch is among us I never use the DWGR anymore. Fast rolling is very nice for offense the flipping is much better for defense.

Well, if you don't already have the wolf ring on, then Organize Inventory it on when you see these people.
Personally, I use medium armor, medium roll or DWGR, I don't really mind.

Re: Poise+ Curved sword
Honestly a lot of people can't deal with hit and run tactics. Kiting with a bow, rolling and poking with rapiers, BSS, Spears, and lets not forget the classic, flip in with a MSGS/Flamberge/MLGS/GSOA and land a rolling hit and then stunlock the bastard.
