Need some advice on what to do next...

So, I'm starting to get into PvP for the first time, as previously I was going pretty much only through PvE, and I'm not sure what to do in terms of a build. All I know is that I like dex weapons more. I'll list my stuff below: (I'm on PC by the way.)

ATT:12

STR:16
DEX:40

FTH:8

I'm using:

Uchigatana +15
Crest Shield
Pyromancy flame +13
Gold-hemmed Black Hood
Dark Armour +4
Shadow Gauntlets
Dark Leggings +1
Ring of Favour and Protection
Havel's Ring

I don't know if that's a good choice or not, but it looks pretty cool and also allows me to fast roll which is also nice. I'm not sure what to buff my uchi with. I was thinking Sunlight Blade, but that would require 30 faith. Is it worth it? And what stats should I be getting, and where should I stop with them? (Keep in mind I'll most likely be using the Great Scythe too at some point.)

I'm on PC, so I've got the DLC and patch.

Just get Vit to 50 and End to minimum equipload and you're done if you're capping at SL 100. And use this to plan it better.

my builds cap at 120 bc of XBL standards so if u 120 ur end and vit need around 40 and i think scythes lvl D with strength so use str also for max dmg

What would I replace the Havel's and RoFaP with?

And why no buff? It'd certainly help with damage output.

its can increase dmg too much and get ur gear to 20 lb out of 80 n fast roll ill post my build later.

For PvP, the caps for the Arena are 50, 100, and 200.

If you plan to fight in the arena, you normally aim for one of those breakpoints. If you plan to fight outside the arena, don't worry about it.

I haven't fought in the arena, but my advice would be to keep pushing to try out a variety of weapons, so I would go higher than 100, and try out spells/weapons etc. Host in the Forest/Kiln.

The FaP ring is quite good, but it synergies best with a high End/Vit (adding 20% to each) so aim for 40 END, 40 Vit (possibly bumping it up to 50, but 40 minimum).

At that point, I would go with Faith for the spells/buffs, ending up with something like this:

But honestly, I wouldn't start in the arena. You won't know what build fits your playstyle, what weapons do, and until you know and want a very streamlined build, then you go for a 100 lvl cap. You'll find after overlevelling what is important and what is not, what you can afford to lose as well.
