by CrystallineKnight Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:38 pmI don't know about you guys but I'm getting sick to death of the lag, it ruins this game in an innumerable number of ways. It makes White Dragon Breath almost utterly redundant. Not only do you have to predict where your opponent is going to go, you also have to predict the lag which is impossible. I've actually got quite good at aiming WDB, but sometimes it just goes straight through your opponent with no damage. Also it makes people with great swords able to hit you from distances when you are not even in range, making it even harder for no poise dex builds who rely on speed. The patch today has improved a few things somewhat, but until they fix the lag this game will be eternally broken.

Well you shouldn't be getting too bad lag then. There's plenty of EU players. Imagine if you were in Aus like me lol.

im in AUS and tbh i do not see much outrageous lag, it really isnt too bad at all....i have never felt like it was something to complain about really...? im in melbourne, pretty close to the cbd....

I'm in middle of nowhere kentucky and very rarely have lag. I used to have lag until I hardwired my playstation. Try hardwiring your playstation or xbox

Read this too, somewhere. The wireless IS slower than hardwiring the PS3. Also must note that p2p is sometimes, you on your t1 line and the other guy is on a Verizon 768mb dsl. ( ouch for him)

Lag can be an issue most times for me here in South Africa. Had a co-op session recently with a local DS player and the lag was virtually non-existant. have had co-op sessions with players as far as sweden, england, Us and i can defs see soem lag, some worse than others.
So i think geography and distance between you and the host/summon seems to be a factor in lag.

Not saying you're wrong, i most certainly agree with you. However, i just wanted to point out something hilarious. I've played with people from Japan, USA, England, Sweden and so on. But when i played with my friend(who is also from Sweden) it lagged like hell. Worst lag i've ever experienced.

Unfortunately like DoughGuy as pointed out we have no servers to connect too.
So latency (Ping) is going to play a bigger factor here,and when you throw in global area & P2P it makes for a nasty mix.
