Can't seem to get the DLC to activate

I have the DLC for the Xbox, and (possible spoiler).....



when I kill the golem, he doesn't drop the pendant that is supposed to allow me to access the new areas. Not sure if it's a storage issue or not. I have the DLC on my hard drive, but my game saves are on Cloud. Possibility that when I select Cloud as my storage device, it's not finding the Artorias content? Anyone else have this problem, who also uses cloud?

EDIT: Out of curiosity, I tried to move my game saves onto the hard drive, the same location as both the DLC and update. I restarted the game, chose "hard drive" as my device and loaded the game. Killed the golem, but still no pendant drops. If anyone else has any luck, or can suggest something I am not doing right, let me know. Thanks.

Did you forget to rescue dusk, by any chance? You gotta kill the hydra at basin and rescue dusk from her golem first.

Are you killing the one in the archives?

As Shindori said, you need to save Dusk first and talk to her, then go and kill the golem. After you get the pendant, go back to the far end of the lake and that's it.

wait talk to dusk after rescuing here? Like.. so she activates something?

Thanks for the suggestions. I was trying it on higher level characters that had rolled the game, so I'm guessing that I probably didn't rescue her on those playthroughs. I'll try that, then go back to Duke's.

Yes, I might be wrong on this, but on the pc version I am pretty sure that once I saved her but didn't summon her afterwards and when I went to the Duke's to get the pendant the golem didn't drop it. So now I always summon her after saving her. Maybe it was a glitch, I am not sure on that, maybe somebody else can helps to verify this...

Hmm.. well I already summoned her and whatnot, do you think i should again after DLing the DLC?

No, if you already talked to her, then just proceed to kill the golem and that's it.
I actually always summon her after rescuing her, but that time I didn't and the golem didn't drop the pendant. So it might be related or it was just some sort of glitch.

If you already did all this, then just go to the duke's and kill the golem. You can't miss it. You'll recognize him as soon as you look at him.
