I've had similar. I ended up going to school with a giant blood stain across my back and didn't notice til a friend asked why there was ketchup on my back. My cat was sleeping in my back that night and she must of decided I needed a bunch of scratches on my shoulder blade.

I still haven't found out where the blood came from though. Try to imagine the panic i had when i woke up though.
