Alot of things factor into this man-
Depending what level you're aiming for; if you're staying low level then I would reccomend Lightning or Chaos but if you're going to 100 or above and you're going to have your dex at 40+ then upgrading is straight to +15 and using a buff is probably best.
It also depends on the other stats of your character. For example if you have really high intelligence then it might be worth upgrading it to be Enchanted and then dont use any buffs.

Dex has gone up to 33. Im trying for a LVL 120 - 125 - 130 - 150 build but that depends if i wanna go with some more Faith. (Switch out the Spear with Balder Swag Sword!)

The Lightning Balder Swag Sword +15. Best thing there is...you can't deny!
Anyways, Normal +15 will top any elemental weapon with decent amount of scaling. You should only use elemental weapons if you're facing an opponent you know is weak against it (PvE) or if you aren't scaling your weapons.

I agree +15 is the way to go if you have high dex or even strength. The trick to it isn't just its scaling but that it seems to have a hidden modifier giving higher base damage for its strong attack then would be expected. So while its stats may show decent damage in reality thats just the standard swing and you'll get even greater results on that delicious heavy poke.

If you do stick with the pyromancy, and im sure alot of my forum buddies would disagree with me, I would reccomend upgrading it to Chaos +5 and using the chaos pyromancys. I have a toon set up like that and he's boss

You're all forgetting to list Power Within and the Channeler's Trident buff and the Dragon Roar for the Unleashed Balder Swag Sword of the Darkmoon +15.

Does anyone know if the strong attacks for the Balder Swag Sword had their unseen modifiers changed in the new patch btw?
Anyway, yes, go for a +15. Work your dex up so it gets the most out of scaling it can. If you've got room in your build it also receives some scaling from strength as well. Only E scaling though, so it's not exactly a priority.
