Balder Side Sword?

I find it very fast and has good range... it's not so strong tho.

I transformed it into divine, just for fun, but since i'm a noob I forgot divine scales with faith, which is not my build.

What do you think about this weapon? Could be a strong weapon if transformed into fire or lightning idk...

It's strong if you use it with dex scaling.

At 40 dex it has only 50 less damage than an Uchi, whilst being faster. I think it's better since its got more reach too.

It's not made to be an elemental weapon as its got low base damage.

However it's good at enchanted, but dunno what your build is so cant recommend it for sure.

Edit, I was thinking of another weapon.

Each weapon is only as good as you know how to handle it.
If you plan to stay at a low level, make a fire or lightning weapon.
If you want a high level character, use the regular upgrade path and level the corresponding stats like strenght/dexterity. Or intelligence/faith for divine and enchanted weapons.

It's a fantastic weapon to buff, if that's your style. A +15 balder side sword on a dex/faith or a dex/int toon that uses CMW, DMB, or SB can be brutally effective.

What do you mean by CMW, DMB and SB?

They are buffs.

Crystal magic weapon, Darkmoon blade and Sunlight Blade respectively.

You can't apply those effects to a weapon that already has an enchantment of some kind, which also includes a lot of unique named weapons, etc. But any normal weapon juiced up to +15 can be pretty bowel loosening to your foes with these effects applied. Obviously different folks will champion one or another of them over the others.

One thing that I love about the "Baller" side sword is that it's move set is robust. If a weapon has hard-tits damage but the move set is slow or gimpy it's just not as useful as something that can slash, thrust, chop and sweep. It's a good weapon to keep in the holster...even if you only use it on Hollow Warriors in the Undead Burg :-)

I just made a fire balder sword +10 yesterday and it works great, has a good moveset and pretty high damage. I have 40 dex, and while it only slightly outdamages my +15 iaito without buffs, it has pretty decent reach.

Yes its a great dex sword, @ +15 it gets an A rating for dex scaling. Throw a DMB buff on it when you have 40 dex and its attack rating is about = to a +5 lightning zweihander, but swings twice as fast. Win.

My Mage build carries a +5 Enchanted one, and a +15 for buffs. I love the damn thing.

Should I forget this sword for now?

Id say so yeah.

go for that and use something like demons machete, great club, demons greataxe, black knight weapons, something like that.

I've tried using big, powerful weapons, but most of them seem too slow for my style of play. I've gotten more mileage out of an estoc or a balder sword, even if I can't land the big hits.
