    So after getting creamed last night, and getting very frustrated. I am forced to ask a question.

    Is 1500 health good enough at level 100? Because it is beginning to feel like I take 3 hits and that is it. Granted I have low humanity which seems to play a big role in defenses as well.

    My next question is how many hits can a character with 40 poise take without being poise broken by different weapons?

    1500 is plenty...farm humanity up to 99. You'll be surprised at how much it helps. Also make sure all your armor is fully upgraded.

    Edit: Poise Breakpoints

    76 poise (51 for 1-handed resists):
    All Ultra Greatswords 2h R1s
    All Great Axes 2h R1s
    All Great Blunt 2h R1s

    53 poise (36 for 1-handed resists):
    All Great Asian Swords 2h R1s
    All Great Swords 2h R1s
    All 1-handed Blunts 2h R1s
    All 1-handed Axes 2h R1s

    31 poise (21 for 1-handed resists):
    All Asian Sword 2h R1s (and R2 in the case of Shotel)
    All 1-handed Sword 2h R1s
    All Katana 2h R1s (including Washing Pole)
    All Great Scythe 2h R1/R2s
    All Whip 2h R1s
    All Large Spear (Partisan/Pike) 2h R1s
    All Small Spear (Silver Spear/Winged Spear) 2h R1s
    All Halberd/Pole 2h R1s (figured this would have been 53, but it wasn't).

    8 poise (6 poise for 1-hand resists, or Fist Weapons):
    All Rapier 2h R1s
    All Dagger 2h R1s
    All Fist Weapons R1s (although this is actually 6 since you can't 2-hand a Fist Weapon)

    All my gear is fully upgraded so my issue is my low humanity the problem...well that is fixable.

    So pretty much I can take 0-1 hits before I get poise broken. Alright now let me burn that into my mind.

    Nice Pheonix, one thing though. There are a few weapons that seem to not go with the typical break points. The MLGS is one.

    1500 is fine for that SL. 40 Vit is usually good for the 100's range.

    Well..I'll have to keep that in mind Tolvo. Along with phantom range that was kicking my butt as well. I roll horizontally a couple feet away and the a vertical swing still manages to hit me when I'm not there.

    Oh yeah i hear ya. Phantom range sucks on some weapons...

    1500 health is good for any level PvP. If your armor is good and you are still getting "creamed", then your strategy needs some work. Also, you may need more practice at dodging and spacing (i.e. practice). Praise the Sun

    Perhaps, but I don't consider myself bad at dodging...just horribly unlucky. When you are no where near a vertical attack from a MSGS and still get hit then that is it. That situation managed to cost me 3 humanity in a row from three different people.

    That crap happens to us all, and it never fails to tick me off. But, extra vitality won't make a large difference. It is better to puts stats to strengthen your toon instead of gouging vitality.

    Well its not a VIT build, I was just double checking to make sure the standard 1500 was still the way to go.

    Yeah, I know. I was exaggerating to make a point that vitality isn't the most important stat (which was a general statement, not directed at anyone in particular).

    But, yeah, 1500 vit is a good number, not much need to go above that, especially at SL 100.
