    Can anyone tell me if ascending your flame (or even uprading it) has any benefit on these pyromancies? Does the mist become more ... potent? I'm scratching my head here.

    Same question for Acid Surge.

    I feel that those pyro mists only serve as distractions and a quick poison/toxic in a tight corner.

    I focused a build solely around the mist pyromancies. It would be a dex/strength build that would spew tons of most through the battlefield and either a.) shoot poison arrows/throw dungpies b.) lob a couple Chaos Fireballs at them and c.) smash them the heavy r2 of an ultra weapon or get in a few gravelord greats word swipes in. It was a great way to switch out of normal play for awhile.

    All the while I would used the boar head which I think gave it a cool look.

    I have a pestilence build that mains the great club and tosses poo while misting the field. silly its fun, but extremely taxing to get used to.

    They can serve their purposes if used properly. I have a build that's based around the pike, which on it's best day, paired with the Leo Ring, still doesn't do a ton of damage. So I like to open with a long range Acid Surge to kill my opponents armor so I can do more damage with my weaker weapon. A lot of players don't expect those spells to be used at range, so when they come I find they often don't know what to do. You can run in real quick and wait at the edge of them too so when they come running out of the area you just filled with fog you're right there to push em back in.

    I was invaded on my way to the gargoyles with a new character at level 10 by a guy who pelted me with turds, mist, and poison throwing knives. With the help of a phantom we defeated him (I stood no chance as this was a caestus only build and this guy had endgame gear) but by the time we got to the boss I had used all my estus to stay off the toxin. Of course at that point in the game you wont have any moss. That guy was a big time a$$hole, but also pretty smart.
