True for some. But wouldn't you say MM was more unique than OoT?

Yes, more unique. But OoT was more groundbreaking.

Atleast you agree that it's more unique. I've 100 percented MM so many times, I stopped using a guide to help me 100 percent it. But now that it's been years since I've even picked it up, I'd probley need a guide on some of it, like Kafei and Anji's quest.
MM was more memorable for me. But to each, is their own.

Re: Old Games that still hold up
Ever since the Final Fantasy thread, I've been inspired to revisit all my old favorites in chronological order. So far I've gone through 4 and 6, and am currently about 6 hours into 7. I'd recommend any of them really. My favorites, and those that get my highest recommendations are 4,6,7,9,10, 12, and Tactics. Most are fantastic games. However, I'm really noticing the fact that PS1 games were never meant to be played in high def. FF7 looks absolutely terrible on my big beautiful television. Honestly I think 6 looked better. The 2D graphics were nice and crisp and clean, however the older polygonal graphics of 7 are just not translating well.
^ I second that Valkyria Chronicles. Awesome awesome game.

It really is. one of the few games that will actually make you care about your squad and will actually make you fight harder to save their lives if they go down.
Never player Kotor but Kotor II is epic. Consular to Master for the gold!

Re: Old Games that still hold up
I'm right at the last couple of battles right now, and I'm yet to lose a single soldier permanently. A few of them grew on me pretty quickly, and became my core squad, and I wouldn't want to lose any of them. I actually went out and bought the second one recently too, but I haven't started playing it yet.

I bought KotoR2 off steam not long ago, and I couldn't get into it. I tried really hard. Got to the place where you recruit the guy whose your main character's old war buddy. I can't remember his name. The plot just wasn't doing anything for me at all, and I kept feeling like I was screwing up important things without being aware of doing it. If that makes any sense. Maybe I'll give the first one a shot. They're both dirt cheap on steam.

I played and loved KOTOR. I was excited when KOTOR II came out, but couldn't get past the opening act. It just throws you into a court drama. Boooooooring.

Re: Old Games that still hold up
Here is one of my favorites that I am actually playing through again right now. FROM made the game and it has some hard areas. Otogi 1 and 2 are both beautiful games. They are for the Xbox.
Here is a clip of one of the levels:
