Weapon list for Leo Ring

Have anyone got a confirmed list of weapons affected by the leo ring?

One of my recent builds was based on the barbed straight sword, but the ring had no effect on that weapon, so I had to scrap it. I just looked at the page, but there's not a lot of info there, so I decided to start a confirmed weapons list.
I added a few weapons I know are confirmed, but also a few unconfirmed. If you have more details on confirmed weapons feel free to add them to the list, or on this page.
The wiki also states that only physical damage is boosted by it, could someone with an int build try the moonlight butterfly horn to confirm?

I've seen the video before, but it didn't answer my questions. But I did some tests on elemental damage with the moonlight horn, and it looks like I misunderstood the elemental bit. From what I found elemental damage can't cause a counter attack at all, with or without the ring equipped. I thought it was only the ring that didn't boost it, since the wiki claims the ring only boosts physical attacks. My bad.

So the weapon stats can also be deceiveing if I have understood it correctly. Some weapons stats have Thrust damage which applies to their moveset, which can get the leo bonus. While others have Thrust damage for damage type, like the barbed straight sword, which can not get the leo bonus. So are all physical thrusting attacks (pokes), even if they are executed after rolling or running, able to get the bonus?

That's weird, I supposed all weapons were able to do counter attacks. Maybe the Leo Ring only apply to pokes.

I also need to try a bit more with the butterfly spear, just to be sure I didn't mess it up.

I tested a bit more to be sure I didn't mess it up the first time. I cleared out the burg 10 times in a row, with the butterfly spear, but not a single instance of counter hits. If I switch to a normal spear I get counter hits regularly. This was without wearing the leo ring.
My character only has 14 int and a un-upgraded mbh, so in ng+ my options of test areas are a bit limited.

Mhm, I am pretty sure that you can perform counters with weapons that do not perform a pierce attack. The description of the ring is kind of misleading if I remember correctly. I haven't done extensive testing but I am pretty sure that I performed a counter with a bow during a farming run. I forgot I was using the Leo Ring and I started shooting arrows at one bloated sorcerer. She was casting the spell when the first arrow hit her head, and was immeadiatly dead. The thing is that I hadn't been able to kill them with one shot before that.

I'm confused about the physical damage bit. ENB probably said that only the physical damage was increased because he used some kind of buff during his testing, but that doesn't necessarily mean that magical or elemental weapons don't perform counters.

I can confrim that the Uchi and Iato(running attacks) get the bonus, probably other katanas too.

I noticed that the balder side sword entry now claims it doesn't get a Leo Ring bonus on the R2 stabs, even though I'm 99.9% sure it does. I even have a BSS leo ring build, although I haven't really used it since the PS3 DLC hit. Did that get changed?

I have managed to get the bonus with most of the poking attacks regardless of weapon, but what puzzles me is the inconsistency of other 'leo' weapons, especially the gargoyles halberd which have no poke attack (scythe moveset) and no piercing damage (at least not in the weapon stats).

I haven't had the time to do any more tests yet. The list I wanted to make was for the weapons with lots of leo attacks: pickaxe, warpick, lucerne, garg halberd, etc. as well as spears, rapiers and swag sword. But the bonus is not consistent with thrusting damage either (barbed sword, garg halb, morning star). Btw, is it only the R1 poke of the normal halberd that has the bonus?

Pretty sure that the greatsword gets bonus from the leo as well when doing the rolling R1 attack. Not 100% sure though.

I updated the leo page after doing more tests. It looks like all the halberds (not scythes) get the bonus.

Lucerne: 1h and 2h R1 get the bonus.
Halberd: 1h and 2h R1 get the bonus.
Gargoyles Halberd: 1h and 2h R1.
Black Knight Halberd: 1h and 2h R1.
Giant's Halberd: 1h and 2h R1 and R2. (all the normal attacks)
Catch Pole: 1h and 2h R1.

So the thrust attacks and the overhead slam attack get the bonus. I haven't managed to get the bonus with jumping and rolling attacks. The scythe's overhead attack is identical to the halberds, but does not get the bonus.

Recetly I got new info in this so...Black Knight Halberd can also get counters for Leo Ring bonus (don't know exactly which attacks though, R1's at least).

And looking at this list again makes me excited to try the Leo with the Catch Pole. happy

What about the ultra greatswords? They all have at least one thrust attack, so they probably benefit from the bonus too. I remember ENB had a video with the Greatsword and the Leo Ring.

Afaik all thrust attacks (pokes) benefit from the ring as long as the weapon deals physical damage.
