DLC problems

So i've been having problems with the new DLC. I was playing my old character that i last played a few months ago, and after i downloaded the new patch and DLC, i went to go kill the diamond demon thingy at the Archives but everytime i kill it, i never get the pendant drop.

Well the first time it died, it died by a random undead I mind controlled with the undead sumtin sumtin spell. The crystal undead killed it and it never dropped the pendant. I tried ever since that time to kill it, restarting the game and console, resting at the bonfire and even used the ring that made u get more items but nothing happened.

My character is at the final stage before killing that king guy, the last time i played it, and completed literally everything there is in the game, and i even saved that oolicile girl at the lake with the Hydra.

Do i need to play a whole new character for it to work or something? It sucks if that's the case Can anyone help ploxxxxx

Have you killed the Hydra and Free'd dusk from her prison?
That needs to be done first.

I have, killed that guy and saved that dusk, i even have a ollicile ivory catalyst as a souveneir.

Is dusk still alive?

Yup, i even just visited her and bought all the spells she had.

Have you rescued her since you dl'd the patch/ DLC? I'd go back to that area and check, then go summon her again ( near rock ) , Then go back to the Dukes Archives to kill the golem

I did exactly that, checked her, talked to her, bought her stuff, went back and still no pendant. I even checked the place wer u get groped.... i mean grabbed by that big hand

consider deleting and redownloading the DLC, it might have glitched on you.

I just did but I still cant get the pendant. the crystal thingy dies and that's it, nothing at all. Do i have to delete the WHOLE game? I'll lose my save files like that...

I've no clue what is wrong. I'm sorry.

Is this a BB-Glitch character?
That often *** with game features in odd ways, and if it's a char that benefited from that bug, then you might just have to restart to get the DLC.

I didn't use any glitches or hacks with any of my characters. Well i just deleted the game file, redownloaded the updates and the DLC but still couldn't get the DLC. I was hoping for this for d past three months and waited a month after the release, Thanks for the help guys, i m lost now

Did you go get the Dusk Crown and antiquated set?

Well when i tried it the first few times, i didnt have it. so i still couldnt get d oendant without getting the set. After a few tries i went back there and took the set, I went back to the archives and still nothing happened.

What game version do you have? I think the dlc fails if your game version is from another region than your psn store/dlc.
There was a thread about this a few weeks ago.

I thought the hydra had to be alive before downloading the dlc?

Not sure about that though.

Definitely not. I killed the hydra WAY before the DLC, saved Dusk, and got her set. I only had to go and kill the golem for the pendant to drop.

If the OP did all of these things then the only thing I can think of is that your game is a different location than the psn store location you used to get the DLC.

Well I live in Malaysia, in SEA and i bought the game at Singapore, also a country in SEA. At the back of the game cover says that it is from Region 3 and I bought the DLC at the Malaysian store. I thought that DLC don't use region lock?

Others have had problems with the dlc and region, that's all I know.
