I think you're all being a little harsh, here! After all, weren't the gungans instrumental in defending Nabu (was it? Names/ dates/ places, not my forte!) from the [whoever was attacking--not the empire yet, right?]? Jar Jar can die in a fire alright! But in defense of the gungans, they did try to exile him--numerous times, I think. Plus they live in an underwater city--that's pretty cool.

the Confederacy...either way, im not gonna be a happy camper if a continent sized battle cruiser comes down from space and the broadcasted message is..."HEYA, CEETAZINS OF EARTH! WEESA DA GUNGANS, WEESA COME IN PEACE!"

@acidic frog is th only thing I've tasted that I can honestly say that it does taste very similar to chicken.

the texture is a little bit different, but other than that it's really similar. Frog I mean. I've never had snake

I know how we can scare away aliens, we need to make highly realistic movies featuring god like characters. Such as Gwyn, but way more realistically done in CG. Then, we load it all onto a probe and send it out, labelled as "History of Earth." When they crack our language and start to find out what all that is, they'll end up thinking we are all god like monsters with the ability to swat ships out of the sky like they are nothing. Then we get our very own quarantine around the Solar System, and if we ever find out they are peaceful we can just explain it to be a very elaborate joke.

lol yeah surprisingly Frog tastes like chicken in a total non cliche way.

Frog only taste like chicken in run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurants. If you are able to find frog legs on the menu in a nice place, you'll be surprised to find out how much frog legs taste like frog, and not chicken.

Back on topic, I like Tolvo's idea about sending them false info about how we are all gods. But what if they are super powerful, so they overprepare based on our misinformation and show up with a fleet poised to destroy a planet of omnipotent beings?

We should instead, send a plea out to the cosmos describing our terrible plight against the ravages of disease and famine, lack of natural resources, and desperate need for mass quantities of bacon to sustain our existence. Anything that responds from compassion will bring us a bunch of free goodies, and any warmongers will arrive with a weak force, assuming they suck at war and prepare for intergalactic space battles based solely on information gathered from a strange message found floating in space.

Hehe, not to mention having prepared for a civilisation that decided their best use of resources was to beg from help that aliens they thought might exist xD

I dont think there is likely to be any space wars unless the face of physics changes massively. too damn difficult (thankfully) not to mention you set off to crush a weaker civ 10000 light years away from your people with cutting edge tech. get there and discover they have outgrown your tech and saw you coming. yeah no non local spacewars. Phew.
