Who is everyone's favorite character to loregasm about?

Serioisly though, my favourite to search is hard to say; I never had a gasm, but damn it I had a lore. Changes, from Nito, Seath, Rhea, Siegmeyer, Lautrec, Oscar, Gwyn, Velka, God of War, Flame Witches, Dusk, so on and forth...

...

I never focused on just one. Seath and Nito tell Plenty, as well as Gwyn and God of War. Dragons and Velka speak volumes, and the undead comrades each have a tale to tell.

Sigh...

@Octaver If I remember correctly there is also a dead blacksmith found in the Painted World, and he holds the Dark Ember... The plot thickens!

I think Lautrec is a really interesting character, and if we had just a tad more information on him, we'd figure him out.

For me the most intriguing character is Leeroy.

Speculation abounds:

After listening to ENB's DeS & DkS commentary regarding the Old Monk and Seath's experiments with Latrian prisoners and G's Handmaidens, repsectively, it made me think about the description of Grant, Sanctus and the Paladin Set and whether or not Leeroy is a "Product" of experimentation or just a hapless priest.

If the WoW views being Undead as a curse then Leeroy may be just an unlucky Cleric who turned undead and was sent to Lordran to a) get rid of him and b) seek the Rite of Kindling.

Or, more sinister in nature, perhaps the Thorolund church was doing some experimenting itself in effort to create an Undead Warrior. Could Leeroy have been created to march into Lordran seeking the Rite of Kindling? Or maybe he was created and sent to Lordran to supplant Lord Gwyn and link the Fire himself?

^ If he was just seeking the Rite of Kindling, he wouldn't attack you while you are going for Gravelord Nito.

That's kinda what I'm thinking, unless his Black Phantom invasion is just a function of game mechanics to give offline players an invasion event.

Regardless, Leeroy is my #1 Lore interest.

I've seen and read lore about everyone in the game, but my favorites to think about are still Artorias and Ornstein(compeltely seperately).

onion bro is the best one in my book, i always save him even if i dont need that slab.

I like to theorise about Lautrec, Oscar, and prior to the DLC Ciaran. I was her biggest fanboy

I just like wondering about why Lautrec was locked up in the Parish in Lordran? How did he get out? Why does he have a Sealer with him? Why kill a Fire Keeper? He said the FireKeeper Served him well, what did he mean by that? Estus? or something else?

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
