Who is everyone's favorite character to loregasm about?

Just as the title says, who is everyones favorite character to theorize about? Meaning they don't have to be your favorite in general just to think about.

Example:
My favorite character: Artorias
My favorite lore character: Chosen Undead or Havel.

The trick is, state why you love their lore so much. I'll go first, I love the chosen undead because I truly truly believe he is the god of war (My full thoughts for anyone wishing to read https://soulswiki.forumotion.com/t13141-you-are-the-fallen-god-of-war). I love Havel on the other hand because I think that he is a rebel but not the scummy kind. I believe he is a man with much faith and is willing to protect his beliefs in the gods by killing them.... yeah.

Lorewise, the primordial serpents! Why you ask?
Because i love the idea that it's all one big conspiracy set up by them. I'm just a guy who j*zzes over conspiracies >:3

It used to be Ciaran, but well.. her story is pretty much blown out of the water and I still haven't played the DLC! She was interesting because there was just SO little to go on. She had one item that said pretty much nothing about her and it was in a strange place.

In the end.. I really disliked her design, and I guess I was partially right with her lore based on what I've had spoiled for myself so far.

Otherwise...? Kirk, I guess. He was one of the first lore discussions I ever got into on these forums, I think, when it was still assumed he was the son of chaos. I guess I got interested in him because I didn't want him to be the son, lol.

Artorias, even with the DLC shedding light on him. Just a very rich model for that Arthurian romantic fantasy archetype.

I must say, that the onion knight is still dear, dear into my heart.

Yet, Nito and Seath are the most competitive in terms of lore.

No need to apologize Acidic, it was a really fun time when there was so much left to be discussed about lore on the forums.

Not saying there wasn't any now, there's just .. less that I can get into until I finish the DLC, and less I'm interested in chatting about too, and I'm getting fewer and fewer epiphanies as I age and.. and... and...

Well, maybe I can do something about that. Just ask questions, and maybe more questions shall arise... that's how good knowledge works, until the entire book is clean... and I don't think the maker is going to show us every single detail in their little book.

My favorite character lore wise usually changes monthly because I always like to invest more time in a singular character. I like Fina a lot though, because the less to go on a character (with the little amount of information on her) means there is more things to imagine about her.

I am fine with patches... you want to know what is great to do with patches? Kicking him. Literally, in the Tombs, kick him off the ledge. he won't attack you, and he survives... you just do it constantly.

I enjoy big hat, though that may be something to do with me writing lore about my character helping him create crystal magic... yeahh...

I generally like the lore behind the magics in the game, interesting their roots and how they get their power etc, along with the history of each magic trainer themselves

All the speculation and discussion in the archives on him being the first born was awesome. Plus he's just such a cool dude

Tough to say because so many of the characters are fascinating, but TODAY my favorites are Prince Ricard and Havel. Ricard's rapier has an amazing description, as does the watchtower basement key. Makes us all use our imagination to put together the stories.

Prince Ricard: rich kid, got trained in swordsmanship from an early age probably?...probably from Astora based on his armor, which we can assume is south of Lordran because he "disappeared up North". The monomyth part of that description is amazing. I can see parents telling their kids not to try adventuring, lest they end up like Prince Ricard. All that thought for an NPC who's easy to fight. He was well-trained, but not tough.

Havel: such a badass. Was he planning a strike against Gwyn and Seath? Is that why he hid his armor and an occult club in Anor Londo? Who locked him up? Was it the Darkroot blacksmith? If so, I see the key description as earnest...smiths and Havel probably had a lot of mutual respect. Then again...was it Gwyn? And did Seath send the butterfly to roast the blacksmith because they knew he had a key and wanted to help his buddy Havel escape? He's the only dead blacksmith in the game, right? I do kind of like that ironic reading of "for his own good, of course."

Anyway, those are just my two favorite stories to think about! Would love to hear more thoughts about these guys.

That's a toughie. Maybe Jeremiah. He's SOOOOO out of place in the game. But on the other hand he ended up being pretty tied into existing literature. On the flip side it seemed similar to the crazy **** I made up about him him so that's cool I guess.

Priscilla was fun thanks to my Dr. Seuss couple of days. That might be my best loregasm to date.

The award might have to go to Beatrice though. Seriously, girl.....what the hell is your story?

Wow, that's exactly what I thought when I first found out about Artorias! He still is my absolute favourite.

As for others, I've always been intrigued by Ornstein, there's not a lot about him.
