    So I was thinking a lot the other day about a sequel to Dark Souls... I wanted to make a post about what people wanted, their hopes, and their personal ideas on what they would like for the sequel. But now the actual Dark Souls 2 having been announced. Lets do it anyway lol. tell me what all you guys want and what should be there and what should change in the long awaited epic Dark Souls 2.

    That they change the title, for one thing. Dark Souls 2 sounds really wierd when you say it verbally.

    Keeping midroll speed would be nice too ._. .

    I didn't think anything of the title as being odd.It looks pretty official but ya never know it could be Dark Souls THE FIRST FLAME or something or THE LAST FLAME .it appears to be a prequel.

    As far as the enemies go in the next game I'd like to see more large scale enemies and more frequent encounters as well. more groups rather than a little guy here and there What does everyone else want to see ?

    I want an item that allows you to be invaded after you kill the boss, like a ring or a helmet.

    That would be cool an item like that would eliminate the "safe" feeling in the game. I often felt bored when i completed an area and i had to travel through it to go somewhere else and there were no surprise invasions any more

    I'd like them to go even darker and creepier than they did in DkS1...almost to the point of survival horror...areas that when you get out you say to yourself. "I dont ever wanna go back there again!" hahaha!

    I agree with that completely. the vibrant colors and sunlight were definitely a change from demon's souls even in the first arch stone it was foggy and misty making the tone seem eery. and the second arch stone started you off outside in the sunset but quickly put you into the dark mines. Environments in the next game need to be not so much as Dark as in no light but more horrifying, sure a dark no hope of getting out area would be great as well but a little more spacious than the catacombs i want some place i can get lost in easily

    I want more creepy areas! Yes! That is a great idea! Covenants with more variety in their goals too. And how about a mechanic that makes duel-weilding weapons viable.

    Yes make duel weilding viable. And more human enemys to fight. I love fighting in forest/havel type enemys.

    dual wielding would be great and a variety of different covenants too. I always thought that Seath should of had his own Cov. and the deeper you get into it the more crystalized you became I loved the dragon transformation and the Gravelord i thought should make you more hollow and rotting like and eventually become a skeleton warrior

    Yeah seeing as how in Dark souls the Dragons are extincted and what not and in the trailer there is a dragon. Might i add also has a single eye on its forehead like Kalameet in the DLC. the eye sockets are hollow. any who yeah unless ending the bonfires triggered something terrible and released dragons again.

    I would enjoy armor sets that have special abilities when wearing the full set. They need to give us more incentive to wear other armor rather than max our endurance so we can wear the heaviest armor with the best defense. Also there is always the demand for more variety or armor types looks styles and such same goes for weapons the incentive to experiment would be nice. Whips were a cool concept but when they only work against unarmored enemies and the great sword works even better any way it just eliminates the want or need to use such an item

    also something i want to just rant about . MAKE THE NPC'S PRACTICAL ... a damn PYROMANCER TRAPPED IN A WOODEN BARREL... seriously ... and like i kind of fancy the idea of NPC's being hostile to one another. There is bound to be some tension between the miracle workers of god and the pyromancer wielding devl's flames from the swamp ya know ?

    I wonder if we are going to have any of this (Click) to do in optional areas or for revisiting zones (Like what happens here). Cause seriously, fights like this is something to truly test your abilities.

    I'd like to see the way buffs are applied change a little bit, and become percentage based. So a 300 AR dagger doesn't do 780 AR, but rather does 390, and the 700 damage ultra weapon hits 910.

    I'd like to see more varieties of spells.

    I'd like to see the return of the MP system.

    I'd like to see invasions cancel the ability to access the boss, and a punishment for disconnecting from an invader.

    yeah things like some creatures being one of a kind species was ok i enjoyed how in the lava pits of izalith you saw early bosses as regular enemies. my only beef with that is they all looked the same. I don't know much about how games are made but is it truly difficult to make enemies of the same species look different maybe one with horns longer than the other or something. some bosses i think should respawn but be worth less souls of course. or maybe grieving mother beast take the spot when you revisit the area some time

    I doubt the MP system will come back they limited spell usage so that one may not simply spam fire storm over and over while his phantoms use emit force to shove you into the flames and or off a ledge
