Iato vs. Uchi

uchi does more damage, less dex req, 2h r2 is a slow downward chop, 1hr2 is a long range stab attack that can negate parries at range, has a high hit chance on an enemy wakeup and punish wiffed slow attacks. it's very good.

iaito does less damage, has more dex req, 2h r2 is a charge to step to horizontal sweep that can dead angle. 1h r2 is a horizontal sweep that can dead angle, minus the step forward. it's great for.. guess. dead angling. it is also possible to chain combos with the 1h r2 as it is relatively fast and safe from parries and opponents trying to strafe bs if used unlocked.

Washing Pole has slower attacks. This may seem like a irrelevant detail, but whenever I face a WP user, I know, that if I'll go for hit&run, he won't hit me in time, while I can hit him. We're talking about miliseconds here, but they do matter if you know what you're doing.

Anyway, that slower speed is really a small price to pay for it's reach.
