That's right. Though I would recommend you instead to use the Tower Kite Shield. Andre himself sells it for just 1000 souls. At +15 that shield has 72 of stability, very low requirements, and at only 3 weight.

^ He's probably using the shield because of looks instead of usefulness... But then again if he was experienced enough to make that choice I guess he would know how to get an item to +15.
