Try invading in the Undead Burg, Kiln of the First Flame, or Oolacile Township. You'll almost never find 2v1's (or gankers) in the Burg. You'll need to be prepared for it every now and then in other places.

The game has p2p "lobbies", not dedicated servers where there is a hub and reroute. So we are all our own servers in a sense, grouped with other peers by affinity, proximity and other delectably unpredictable factors.

Exactly, thats why lag is such an issue. If the host has a crap connection, the duel will be one big pile of WTF?!?!

Which is why you need to be able to control your "rage meter" when PvPing. It is not fun with lag but you just got to deal with it...and exploit it if you want/can. However since you said you want 1v1 that's not a good thing

Yeah thats either the lag's doing or they moved where the backstab animation take place. Though if they kill you by backstabbing you might be PvPing in a bad area. Where do you PvP mostly?

Dark Roots seems the be the hot spot....

try the burg. generally theres a bunch of honorable 1v1's going on

Other factors come into play also.A Invader may have a solid ISP but the latency from him/her to the other is miles away (Over side of the world) This will not help no matter how good the ISP is.....It's all about the latency "Ping".I use a fibre Optic FTTP ISP but if I invade someone in the USA I will no doubt lag.My connections not the fault but the region and latency.....
