A Third Ending

If you could create a third ending to the game, what would it be?

Kill Gwyn, get 7 dragonball stars and revive Sif

The Dragon Covenant (Spurgun and lextune, that's it as far as I can recall) might not like that.

Third ending huh? Not sure I'd want one. I think the two we have are perfect but I know not everyone shares that position

I don't think a third ending would work since the only other possible option is "Do nothing"

If you summoned Solaire to fight Gywn and he doesn't loose more then half of his health and you choose the normal means of the Dark Lord ending. If you believe in the whole Solaire is the firstborn (which personally I do) then a conversation with Solaire would ensue where he talks about mankind needs to let go of the lords but the Undead need to be stopped. He sacrifices his own soul to link the bonfire while you leave becoming the Dark Lord still. The serpents leave their game of trying to use you as a puppet being a failure. Though Solaire survives the burning of the Kiln since when he sacrifices his soul is is reborn as his predecessor self the first born and takes the place of his father in Anor Londo.

That's all I got for it right now. Kind of was an RP idea that I never got around to finishing.

But I think you have to be "The Chosen One", as in the one who retrieved and kindle the Lordvessel in order to officially become Kiln fodder. And didn't you die in the "Good Ending"?

As far as we know, Solaire lost all of his godhood and is "not worthy" of the Kiln. But my theory is that if Solaire was present in the Good Ending, he can somehow collect his powers back and then rule over the remaining time of Age of Fire... I think we'll have to wait till DS2 to find out.


I personally would like a "Chaotic" ending where you can absorb the Lord's Souls yourself and brought death and undeath to the world; like a parting "Eff You" gesture to the game world and all its misery it brought me .

I didn't like the "Evil Ending" though. It implies that you would sit on your lazy *** for the rest of the Age of Fire, which then rule over whatever's left of humanity in the Age of Man (which is not that much, really). Unless you believe in your character to be a saint whom [would maybe sacrifice himself?] to restore humanity to the world and saved his fellow Undeads.

You gather up various friendly surviving NPCs, take on the serpents in a huge battle, then sacrifice yourself to Link the Fire... to the Sun, ensuring it will burn for another 5,000,000,000 years or however long.

Turning the Lord Souls into weapons.

You doom the world, but in exchange you get some shiny weapons you'll never use~

Pyromancer ending: Burn the world. Nothing but ash left, creating a new beginning. Like the burning of a forest.

I would think it would be pretty funny if we were to try to kindle the flame and it doesn't work. We keep trying to and the flame just starts to die out, and then we walk out while the world falls to darkness and we aren't the Dark Lord.

Dragon bro ending: revive the dragons, reverting the world to the state before the age of fire.

And now for the ending everyone wants to hear from the infamous Samurainova

The player triumphantly wins, and he knows that their are merely two paths that he can follow. He can either choose to sacrafice himself in order to continue the age of fire, or cast the doomed age into the pits of the past and begin a new age of dark.

I was hoping you'd say "Age of Swag." That'd be so hilarious.

Extinguish all bonfires. Warp to ash lake. Kill everlasting dragon.
Beat gwyn with solaire as npc. Reinstate him on the throne of sunlight.
Send envoys to all other gods asking for their return to lordran.
Happy that Lordran is in hands of rightful leader, and darkness has been avoided. Make your way out of Lordran to seek cure for the dark sign with ends to ridding the world of acursed undead for ever

how about a new area opens up where the real Gwyn resides as some sort of half mutated slug like thing and he calls you a fool for wanting to go on as he flops around pathetically in a half-assed attempt to kill you.

I'd use the third ending built into the game. You go hollow. You can't finish your quest and you end up going hollow and losing your mind in Lordran as things continue how they are going. Eventually Gwyn's fire just burns out and that's it.

I see what you did there, good sir, and I love it.

When you link the fire you accidentally burn down all of Lordran. It ends with you sat in Ash Lake trying to look nonchalant as the skies burn.
