what is your favorite weapon type?

hey guys, just wondering what your favorite weapon type is and why? mine would be curved swords as they completely wreck no-low poise builds and can hit and run higher ones.

I love katanas.

I picked straight swords since katanas weren't in the poll.

Katanas aren't my favorite, but how the hell aren't they in the poll?

Halberds, mostly because of the Great Scythe (classed as halberd, lol!!) and the Lucerne. Probably gonna catch some flack for the latter, but I really like it

I think Raecor considers katana´s to be curved swords

PVE- Axes
PvP- still experimenting with the different weapon types

Great swords, and ultra great swords for stunlock/crowd control.

Curved swords. My favourite was the Kilij in Demon's Souls, and Uchigatana in Dark Souls.

Katana is a seperate weapon class. Also, why are hammers and great hammers together?

I would choose katana. Since I can't I'll choose curved greatswords. It's curently my second favorite, but I recently discovered halbreds are good two handed.

Never go anywhere without my Claymore. The moveset is just too versitile to not use.

Also good but i dont have many experience with them. Katanas rock the house and the R2 gets almost any spear user. Ohhhh and the washing Pole!! (I tasted the cold steel of yours if you remember, and when the weather changes it still hurts )

I use the Chaos Blade, but I agree that the Washing Pole is the most OP out of any weapon.

Halberds, hands down. I like my weapons to have a lot of range; With halberds I get that and incredible damage.

I love Chaos Blade.

I'd like to see someone best my SKS with WP.

So far, only tactic featuring a katana that worked on my SKS was this one guy, that was very aggresive and seriously pushed me around. Then I remembered I can kick him to get him off me and figured out he won't have any stamina left from being this aggresive, which lead to his demise.

Most WP users try to 1H R2 on me, but SKS can punish it and give me time to roll away safely. Since WP has slower attack animation than other katanas, it's no problem to block the first attack and parry the second, as most katana users are happy R1 spammers.

Large club. Its special. I don't like the others, just the large club.

overall type would be ugs though.

Great sword because of it's versatility, but a katana are a myst for a dex build.

There's not many things more funny than smashing someone to death with Balcksmith Giant Hammer.

There should be an option for liking all of them.

I can't/won't vote because i'm an all rounder. There's no weapon type i prefer over the other.

my favorite weapon depends on the build, i use a huge variety between my various characters. it would be easier to say which weapons i don't like.
