FOREWORDS
In my opinion there's two different types of "griefing". The more popular form of griefing where your main objective is to just kill the host as quickly as possible, and then there's my form where the goal is to have fun. Obviously, if you want to normally grief, all you need to do is get full Heavy Armor and a chaos weapon and you're finished.
If you want to have some fun with it however, then you have to think creatively, and causing grief that way is what I specialize in.
This will be a guide on how to grief with every type of character in every area. New ideas are always welcome. This "Guide" will basically be a list of ideas you could possibly perform to try and cause some grief. Most of these probably won't be effective, which is why I always suggest to have at least one reliable damage-dealing weapon on you at all times and maxed-level armor.
The sections about magic and weapons will be pretty boring since the ideas aren't very clever and it's nothing you couldn't think of, but the maps section might give you a few new ideas.
Sorceries
Hidden Weapon - It turns your weapon completely invisible. Highly effective and annoying when you're weapon is a ludicrously long spear or halberd.
Chameleon - Great for waiting for an ambush. Wait until they pass you and then ambush them with a backstab or until they're fighting another enemy.
Or, if you have the patience, you can try and transform into an item and stand in places you shouldn't stand and see how long it takes for the host to notice you.
Aural Decoy - Follow them while keeping out of sigh and every now and then use this spell to make a noise. Let them know you're watching them, but from where? You can even fight them and beat them to NEAR death before hiding so they KNOW how dangerous you are.
Dark Fog - It's a cloud that poisons. It probably isn't that intimidating, but poisoning someone is always a great start to stressing the host out.
PYROMANCIES
Poison Cloud/Toxin Cloud - It's hard to hit anyone with either of these spells, and more often than not I use them to create a barrier to buy me some time if I need breathing room. Poison/Toxin is a great way to pressure someone. Once they're inflicted, all you have to do is keep close to them and punish them for healing long enough for them to drop dead from the plague(poison/toxin).
Acid Surge - This rarely hits anyone, but if they do stay in the cloud, their armor and weapons could potentially break. WIth their main equipment broken and useless, you could stay back and choose to let the monsters or boss handle the host if you want.
Miracles
Force - Lure someone to a ledge and then spam it until they fall. You could also just spam it just for the hell of it when they're nowhere near a cliff to fall off of. It's up to you.
Emite Force - Force at a distance. Try to free-aim the spell and use it around ledges.
Karmic Justice - Get a shield with less than 100% physical damage block, and bait the host into swiping at your shield with their weapon and you'll explode all over them without even having to attack. Sure you'll take damage, but they probably won't be expecting you to explode out of nowhere since karmic justice is so rare.
Any dropped item - drop any item on the ground and wait for the host to pick it up. Keep hidden with a dragon slayer bow and you could blast them off an edge. Or you could backstab them while they're picking it up.
Prism Stone - Try making a trail and/or a giant sparkling area where you want the host to go. You could either set them up for a backstab from a hidden location, or get them to stand where you could easily knock them off the map with a dragon slayer bow. Dropping an item at the end of the trail would maximize the chance of this...comically cliche trap to work. It'll be hard to get enough time to both set it up and hide, but you could always try. Yes, some people will be stupid enough to fall for it just because it's human nature to follow paths and want to get strange items, and because it's so rare to see.
Or you could just make a pattern on the ground. It's practically graffiti-ing in their world.
Firebombs/Black Firebombs/Throwing knives - Battle plan: Throw crap at them til they die. Get them to a decently low amount of health and then just see if you could finish them off by throwing garbage.
Poison knives/Dungbombs - spam these and try to cause Plague. Plague does 10 damager per second, which might not seem alot, but adds up quickly. Once they're plagued, just stay on their *** and pressure them by punishing them when they heal. Stay defensive and patient and they'll eventually die after 5-10 minutes.
Lloyd's Talisman - Use this with anything else so they can't heal. This one isn't that complicated.
