    what if it boosted stamina regen? reneame it vigor and make it increase stamina regen rates up to 40 points, where it would give the same level of bonus as the cloranthy ring and the grasscrest shield combined.

    Luck. Remove RES and introduce Luck. It will be off while PVP, making it only PVE useful. Like more rare loot, random events and maybe new dialogue.

    I say remove it or add to poise in the same way Attunement adds slots. Not much - 4 Poise at Res 16 - but it's there. I'm borrowing this idea from someplace else.

    Remember that Res did actually have a small amount of impact in DkS. It's one of the several reasons Pyros, Wanderers and Bandits are the most common starting classes. Naturally, if you're building for PvP you always want to hit your goal at the lowest level possible, but if there's a tie you go with the class with the highest Res. So it wasn't completely unused, it's just that it was confined to the very beginning of the game.

    Which stat was 'useless' in demon's souls? IIRC, people had viable PvP builds and PvE builds around every stat...

    No way RES should increase Poise, NO WAY. That's would make it OP. IMO the should completely remove Resistance and add a new stat (not luck) that scaled a new type of weapon.

    Show me ONE build that was a viable PvP or PvE build mainly on the luck stat.

    Considering that it didn't increase any stat at all, ever adding any points into luck put you at a disadvantage.

    I like the poise ideas talked about throughout this thread. Trade offense for defense? Do whatcha gotta do in picking your poison (pun intended)! I'd like to see maybe resistance factoring into some scaling for various weapons or armor, but i honestly have zero clue on how that could be pulled off, or even logical in the overall scheme of things really. Maybe it could have worked with some unique weapons in this past game, like the Lifehunt Scythe, as it applies bleed to you as well as the opponent, so RES could have possibly been an interesting stat to apply a scale to with that one? IDK, really. No good ideas here from me! Doh!

    You're adding 2 fairly well-balanced builds (Straight Luck BBS/Light Weapon BBS). That makes builds more varied. X+2 = more than X.

    My agility build idea is more varied and adds more depth to the combat system than luck could ever dream off. Yet there seem to be an alarming amount of people who think the luck upgrade system would be amazing even though it's just another physical weapon upgrade system like strength and dex. I get people's love for nostalgia but putting luck back in doesn't add anything revolutionary to the upgrade system.

    Give Res that damage reduction like what it's supposed to have, for both PVP and PVE. Have it apply to all damage sources given, but naturally increase the damage elementals do a tiny bit for compensation.
