Ciaran seems to care a lot for Artorias, and might have even been his lover. It doesn't get subtitled but when you kill her if you listen closely her very last words are "My beloved Artorias".

Before AoTA came out wasn't the generally accepted theory that Artorias went rogue and gwyn sent Ciaran to kill him(which is why you found her ring by his grave)?

Can you imagine, loving someone so much that you possibly pray by their grave until you die, and then having people think that you killed him?

Yeah, I feel sorry for her too. I can never bring myself to kill Gough, but she always ends up with some crystal homing soulmass or a great combustion to her face.

I'll give her the soul next time, I promise.

This is true, with my base Vitality, 0 poise, low stability shield toon she actually took me out a couple of times. :pale:

No excuse though, I took her lightly and I shouldn't have. Based on my past experiences with her I took her for an easy fight, she proved to me that she most certainly could fight back.

    Damn, Chester's a badass.

Ciaran charges in wildly swing her Gold Tracer not 2 inches from him and the man doesn't even flinch.

In all fairness, we shouldn't complain about seeing Ciaran be a smartass. I dunno about you, but 90% of the time when I'm going to fight her I just take my time, stand behind her kneeling, draw out my Black Knight Greatsword, 2-hand it, and then swing with the heavy attack.

Shouldn't have spent so much time crying over Artorias, pff.

I wish there was an hug gesture, Ciaran seems to need one, since all you guys do is attack her, shame on you people! wasnt it enough to have killed Artorias? must you disrespect his grave by killing her, a friend, maybe even lover, who was only mourning his loss?

Hey, I don't see anyone crying over Gough, the helpful giant who is retired/exiled! Or for Ornstein, the possibly very noble knight willing to sacrifice himself to test a prophecy! Or for Gwyn, the man who was willing to sacrifice every ounce of him for the cause he believed in!

I do feel bad for Gough...all by himself ontop of that tower...blind...but at least he is making the best with what he got.

Orneistein? you telling me i should feel sorry for killing that frigging ganker, who enraged me till no end???? hell no! the second he died I jumped from my chair, cherishing every second of my victory.

I already posted on another topic how I felt about killing Gwyn...to sum it up, If i had a choice in the matter...I wouldnt have done it...

Then remember perspective, there are some people who don't really consider Cirian interesting or feel no sympathy or empathy for her. Personally I don't like her character so I have no qualm with killing her, while as Gough I put off killing him for his armor for as long as I can.

EDIT: Plus there are a lot of people who like her or her armor, so they kill her so they can dress like her.

Oh, I know friend, I know, I wasnt...hmm...judging them, Its a game, I merely tried to make an serious argument about the subject, call it...roleplaying, though I do stick by my statements but I do understand why others do it their way, but there is a difference betwen killing for necessity and killing for the sake of it...most people do it for the later and take pride on it *sighs*

About Ornstein...well, I was never into his lore that much, I respect him the most I can...but come on, he is the only one that attacks you by choice...Ciaran doesnt, Gough doesnt, Artorias does attack you but he is possesed by the Abyss and Gwyn went hollow, so you cant blame them, but Mr Ornstein attacks you, maybe toprove his point or whatever crazy reason he has for doing so....his fight is also mandatory... so we cannot compare him that much with the Ciaran situation.

He may also be willingly fighting you as a test, to prove you are the Chosen Undead, meaning he is just waiting to be killed by someone. Dying for what he believes in. Possibly.

I heard that possibility before...as I said, I do respect him...only the frustation of the fight made me cherish his defeat, but...if what you said its true (it does make sense, after all, a knight wouldnt gank, he only teamsup with Smough to test you, after all, the chosen undead cant be a nobody) then he does earn my respect, such mission is quite a burden...to think he is ready to give up on his own life for it speaks alot about him.
