...did you play the second game? He talked ALOT in that one :|

I liked the second one the most because of it's length and the scope of the world. Unlike the first or third one you weren't restricted to only half of the map, as well as having the hardest optional dungeons out of all the games. Dullahan in Dark Dawn was pathetic comepared to the one in Anemos Inner Sanctum happy

I see 2 as a continuation of 1, so I'll just say I prefer the gba version.

Only the main character of the game doesn't talk, so in The Lost Age it was Felix who was silent. I actually started the series with The Lost Age and I didn't actually play the first game...uhh...first, so I thought it was really weird when I went to play it that Felix was talking :|

Not counting the epilogue, Felix does talk in TLA...Once. His one amazing line of dialogue is "Why?" during the scene where the party is told about the details of the Shaman Warrior Road Trial thingy. silly

Anyway, I did not play the games back when they first came out, but recently found the GBA games cheaply on eBay. Bought them both, and later also Dark Dawn, and loved all of them, especially TLA. I actually replayed GS1 immediately after finishing it once, and replayed TLA on Hard mode not long after I finished Dark Dawn. DD is the only game in the series I have no desire to replay, due to the six minute long unskippable text intro and that condescending tutorial at the start. (Do you understand how Djinni work? You already do? Well, we'll explain it to you anyway since you're not very bright, Matthew)

On a side note, Sol Blade with 99% Unleash Rate sure is balanced.

Sol Blade is too mainstream. Excalibur is where it's at happy

IIRC I had Isaac and Garet equipped with Excaliburs in TLA. Sol Blade is more reliable, but Excalibur tears enemies to shreds if it gets the highest multiplier. Fun weapon, if frustrating to get due to Sunshine's obsession with forging worthless Millenium Caps when you ask for a frigging sword.

Too bad it kind of sucks in DD though. Still not a bad weapon, but not half as good as it used to be.

I was also partial to the Dark Sword (in conjunction with the Cleric's Ring of course). It's unleash wasn't particularly interesting, but having that much consistent base damage was fantastic.

I liked how it was essentially a stronger and evil version of Gaia Blade. It was my initial replacement for Gaia Blade on Isaac in TLA, so it was kind of funny to see him use the exact same unleash, just with a different colour scheme. "Acheron's Grief" is a damn cool unleash name too.

That weapon was only good in GS1, and was only available as a rare drop in the final dungeon. ._.

NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR LAME KATANAS!!!!

I kid, I kid. Though to be honest I don't remember that weapon hardly at all. The only katana I remember is the Masamune and that's just because it was such a disappointment. "Hey, here's a weapon that is hidden away in a remote optional town and required you to have played the first game to have old Psynergy to even find in this secret hidden cave! Cool, right? Oh yeah, it's gonna be worse than the stuff you find at level 40, but still...it's got that famous name, right? Right? Right?!"
