I want a fun moveset to it also, not just swing, swing, swing like the Zwei. I do like the great hammer move set. I will be using medium to heavy armor. I plan to do pvp. Any suggestions on a weapon and armor? Oh and I want to do pyromancy.

Well you could use the Gravelord sword or the Server. Those are pretty fun. Or the Great Scythe, nothin like harvesting souls. The Dragonslayer Spear is a weapon that was forged in the fires of Mt. Awesome made out of Greatness.

The spear is the perfect blend of quick swing speed, best range in the game, and medium damage. The only fault with it is that it has the most boring moveset in the game.
Halberds have pretty interesting attacks, I'd say some of the coolest looking attacks in the game. They have high damage, range that is equal to spears, and the only problem is that they're a bit on the slow side. Much quicker than great hammers though.
Just try any black knight weapon. They have the coolest heavy attacks in the game in my opinion.

Try Grant. Fun weapon, even though it splits damage. At 50 str/50 faith it has 338 phys dmg and 393 magic damage. That's some pretty hefty chip damage. Also, the giant WoG is nice too.

A little op some people say but the claymore sounds like what youre looking for. Great damage and has thrusts along with horizantal/vertical slashes that are great for dead angles

Claymore - medium to fast swing speed, tla thrust attack for range, and medium to high damage. I'd consider it to have one of the most fun movesets in the game because of its ability to stunlock. As long as your opponent has less than 56 poise, you can chain any or its two-handed attacks into any of its other two-handed attacks.
Its wide swing arc also makes it fun for unlocked play and gives you opportunities to dead angle if you wish.

I love the claymore and chaos blade for power, style, effectiveness and they weigh the same. However go with what you feel is the most natural to you go with it. Form a bond with your weapon and then experiment with another so you always have more to use in combat like skilled warrior. Form your fighting style and train till you have mastered you weapons and come out as the player walking with the victory.

As I said before, Quelaag's Furysword. The one handed R1 have decent speed and it does a ton of damage, (even through split damage), it has one of the longest range of all the curved swords, and of course the kick is a backflip evasion. Also, it looks sick. You can two hand is for the added benefit of it being fast as hell.

I feel as if you are going for fun moveset as the most deciding factor in your choice. In that case... main hand Prissy dagger, off hand gold tracer. Awesome fun tossed in with dwgr for extra moves.

I'll just echo everyone who has mentioned the claymore. Also, I was to add a footnote to what LunarFog said about the halberd. The R2s are always slow, however, if you land a hit with the R1 the recovery is actually very quick. A miss will still have a longish recovery and may leave you vulnerable.

Gargoyle's Halberd. It's got a ton of power, a fun moveset, easy to use, with good scaling, and it can cut tails really easily.

I once poked a guy to death using the TCC. And then I tried to bow but accidentally did "well what is it" instead (still haven't figured out the PS3 motion control gestures). I imagine he wasn't happy.
