Why so few divine blessings?

Sorry if this is a repeat thread.........

I have been pondering this thought for a long time now. Why did FROM only allow you to get 2-3 divine blessings per playthrough? I realize the item has amazing effects, but there should be more. Here are some of my thoughts:

1. Faster healing during boss fights
   
2. Easier playthrough for low level builds
   
3. Don't have to run through hard areas
   
4. Can explore more without high risk
   
5. Its just an overall useful item to have
   

I don't intend in any way for this thread to become an argument so if you decide to comment, please include your thoughts and dont put down others for their opinions.

So what are thoughts on wether there should be more divine blessings or not?

Personally, I never use them. But I wouldn't have minded if you could get them as a rare drop from something. Getting them as a random reward from Way of the White coop would be nice, that way that covenant would actually have some use.

Because then DB poppers wouldn't be able to game PvP.

IMO they shouldn't exist at all, or, if they did, they should have been given a symbolic purpose much like the Pendant ("purpose" lol).

Wow, i did not know you could get 9 each playthrough... I could never find more than 2-3. Thanks for the vid.

I guess 9 is enough especially if you only use them in pve.
