My dog would always freak out and hide under my legs during a storm, however now that he's deaf he doesn't realize it's storming outside unless if he's already out.

What a shame your dog is deaf. I know a person who owns a dog that is blind and deaf. I always end up looking after it, simply because of it's lack to look after itself.

I know this sounds heartless but my dog is already 13 years old already and has some serious health issues too. I wouldn't be surprised sometime during 14 years old he passes away from old age either.
I still find it funny that he has enough energy to bark at cars though.

It was nice a few hours ago. Strangest thing you can do on a school bus is to wait for most of the students to get and meditate with mellow music. The gray day really seemed nice for two hours after I got off. Felt great.

He isn't exactly suffering, he's really just deaf and limps on one of his legs. I've already thought about putting him down too but to be honest, it's hard for me to go through with it. He's been there for a good portion of my life and I treat him like a family member too.
That's not to mention that my neighborhood has actually decided to bond with my dog too. They all love him and sometimes kids come over to play with him too.

The buses are still crappy. It is a long walk and frankly I really needed to mediate. When I said I was drained yesterday I meant emotionally drained.

Knowing the average lifespan of most dogs, he won't be here for much longer either.
^Pendant, I completely agree. I love animals with a passion and I can't bare to see an animal hurt either, it's why this whole thing is a bit of a dilemma for me. I don't want to see my dog in too much pain but I've never been able to fathom the idea of putting my dog down.

Being deaf doesn't hurt him as long as you're there taking care of him. Limping is another story. I'm not sure how to put the question but, does he limp heavily, or is it a simple limp?
If it's not too bad, then it probably doesn't hurt him a lot. Also, have you ever looked with a vet about the limping?
If you really believe that he's hurt enough to consider being put down, then that is what you should do, no matter how hard it is. But if it doesn't hurt him, why do it?
If you have considered it in the past, then that says something, so i suggest you take a day just to think about it. Think about your dog, try to see if he's happy and consider what to do with him. If your dog seems happy, then whatever pain the limp causes can't be a lot. If the vet can do something, that's even better.
Also, i'm still bored.
