I gave up on understanding flirting a long time ago.

Its a stupid game with ambiguous rules and its generally very subtle, so I can't get any sort of comprehensive idea of whats happening.

Its also a colossal waste of time, even when it works. It would be much faster to skip it entirely and ask her out, and get real information on the date, but apparently thats off putting.

I know you mean it in a very honest way, but now I just like to picture you going out on a date and saying, "Look let's just be up front about this. Are you into anal? Because this is something important to me."

Honestly, crazy as it sounds, that's the best way to approach topics like that. Of course you'd need to be in a place in your relationship where you can talk frankly, but that is the best way to approach something, no filler.

I'm just not into social games. I don't understand them and they get in the way of actual communication.

You want/don't want/need/like/hate something? Tell me outright, as soon as it becomes relevant, and I will address the situation (though not necessarily by doing what I was asked to.)

If you don't tell me, even on the off chance I notice any hints, I'm just going to ignore it until I'm spoken to properly, both on principle and to avoid misinterpreting "signs."

So yeah, that is my approach. (though your example is not something I see as likely to happen.)

I'm awful at flirting, luckily I just take potshot guesses if I kinda get a vibe and usually they're right.. Just the subtleties- I'm not a subtle person dammit!

I've never met a girl my age thats direct.

I've met some older women that are, but we don't get along well. They were very..........loud. and unreasonable. (not to mention they're 40+)

I'm actually pretty good at flirting, my main issue is actually carrying through with it. I am my own worst enemy. There have been times where a lady and I really hit it off, then I don't ask her out or anything. Only to find out later from a friend they wanted me to ask them out but figured I wasn't interested when I didn't. I also look at myself in a mirror and go, "Oh come on, she was just being polite." Turns out I should have just gone for it.

Let that be a lesson people, when you want something go for it.

Well if you are like me, the things wrong with you are that you are overweight, you have acne, you are very hairy, you have a big nose, a big forehead, big fred flinstone feet, a bad back, you're really pale, and let's not forget that lack of confidence.

But some people like hairiness, proves your manliness which is nice since at 5"10' I'm not exactly the biggest guy in my friendship group

I'm not interested in any personal relationship I don't see continuing indefinitely, circumstances permitting. Again, seems to be off putting. Girls in my area seem to want flings or 1 night stands, and I don't work that way.

I don't want fun. I can have all kinds of fun doing (pun not intended) other things.

I want a long term companion and will accept nothing less. It doesn't necessarily need to be a romantic relationship, especially right off the bat. I'm not trying to jump straight to marriage or anything, but if we don't want the same type of relationship right from the start, I'm probably best off looking elsewhere.

I'm aware most people don't have that mentality, especially at my age, but I am entirely uncompromising in this. I will not settle. Its doing a dis-service to both parties and a waste of my time.

I remember i was on the Forum earlier and i touched the Mouse pad and the screen freaked out and now all these pictures are here...
