I just got it yesterday in Anor Londo and I'm wondering if it is any good. I did my research and learned that unlike the Black Knight Sword, this could be buffed or enchanted, as the wiki said.

The only problem with this weapon is that it can only be reinforced 5 times. Otherwise, it has high damage output, can be buffed, is faster, has a good moveset, and is capable of some great stunlocks.

The moveset is fantastic and it is easy to upgrade (buy twinklers from giant bsmith).
I think when you get to +15 with other weapons and strength/endurance up around 50 it will be outclassed by other weapons, but it is more than viable for PVE.

It has a higher base damage and lower scaling than a longsword, Broadword (Sponsored by Billy's House of Cutlery) and sunlight straight sword. Besides that, it's really heavy for a straight sword. (6 lbs)
I'm playing around with it on a character myself. I didn't realize it can be buffed.

Like many weapons it can be devastating if you get to know them very well. It is certainly not "easy mode" like a katana, spear, or ins ome respects an UGS.

Fast moveset, wide attack range and scales better with dex, though it lacks a bit of hard damage at high sl levels if you don't buff it against some tanks. The only real flaw is that it is parable and my opinon is that parries are easier to time with horizontal attacks.

^ I agree. A slash from the Broadword (Sponsored by Billy's House of Cutlery) is much easier to move my shield away from my body as to deflect their attack than a thrust from a spear. But that shouldn't really discourage you to use a weapon with a horizontal moveset. You just need to time your attacks right to avoid getting parried. To be fair, if you're careful and a guy can still move my shield away from my body as to deflect their attack you, the chances are he could still move my shield away from my body as to deflect their attack you with a thrusting weapon.

i don't see "being parryable" as being a major flaw since all weapons can be parried. it does have low stat scaling and the other straight swords will eventually be better with higher stats, but with minimum required stats to use it, you can't get a better straight sword. the best part is that it pairs nicely with the silver knight spear.

This weapon has more versatile features then other swords.
First of all, it is one of the few, if not the only, weapon that can be buffed while also being upgraded via Twinkling titanite.
Another thing, the R2 on the sword. As you know, some weapons just have better R2's in general due to the huge damage increase in them, and the Silver Knight Sword is no exception. The Sword's R2 is just a slightly slower version of the R1, and is more or less the same as the Shotel's R2, except it doesn't hit through shields. It is EXTREMELY powerful, enough to be compared to that of the Balder Side Sword's R2, which we already know is a complete boss killer. I honestly love this sword, it looks amazing, it has a good moveset, and in general, straightswords are my favorite weapon type. Plus, it does not require a Slab (Sponsored by Excavating Supply Co. - Keep a Diggin') (Sponsored by Excavating Supply Co. - Keep a Diggin') (Sponsored by Excavating Supply Co. - Keep a Diggin') to upgrade, nor does it require the embers. All you need is 10 Twinkling titanite shards, so in total 90k souls (80k for the 10 titanite, assuming you buy them, and 10k for each upgrade, requiring 2k souls each), to max it out.
It has good base damage, and as I stated above, it is buffable. The scaling is pretty decent, and with a SL 120 character with 40 DEX, you can get a good 400 AR out of it, and that's not including a buff.
Overall, this is a pretty good weapon ever since the Lightning Damage was taken off of it, and assuming you're making a build with 40 STR or 40 DEX, it's a definite choice to have around. Although, if you're going with a Spellsword build, Balder Side Sword will still be the better choice, because all though the SKSS is stronger than the BSS, the R2 requires timing if you have no poise.

Compared to other straight swords, it's one of the best. It's buffable. The heavy attacks are pretty fast and feel strong. It has long reach. It's preetty strong. It's good.

It's really good for low SL, and has a damn good moveset. If you don't want to invest much into your attacking stats, then it's a great straightsword.

The only qualm I have with this weapon is the lack of +15. Otherwise, it's great.

Like many others said, Silver Knight Straight Sword is buffable and just as strong as its fellow dex straight sword cousin Balder Swag Sword. SKS and BSS have the longest R1 light attack reach out of all straight swords but only by a small margin so don't let this turn you away from trying other swords.
I like SKS for its fast combo and stunlock. Two-handed running/backstep R1 light attack -> R1 light attack -> R2 strong attack. Fast triple vertical chop combo right there. Very fun for PvE but not sure how viable it is in PvP.
I think this is one of the few weapons where the first R2 strong attack can be done almost just as fast as the R1 light attack without needing a R1 light attack setup to lead into the R2 strong attack.
