Soul Level 1 Playthrough Advice

Hi, i've recently gotten back to Dark Souls and completed the playthrough.
It does get difficult but ng+ and onwards is kind of the same so i wanted to try something new, heard that people do SL1 playthroughs and i want to try it out too!

So what would be the best way to do this? As in what things should i equip etc.
I've done a little bit of the game so far, i'm a pyromancer with a battle axe+5 with the grass crest shield, i'm wearing the slumbering dragoncrest ring (Silence ring) and Havel's Ring.

I know pyromancy is a great help so i'm going to max out the hand, what would be the best pyromancies? i'm thinking great combustion and fire tempest (although that will have to wait till i progress further...right? :roll: ).

Besides the battle axe i do have other weapons such as the reinforced club +5 and the hand axe +5, i'll upgrade them to elemental weapons so they don't scale but what elements should i turn them to. Fire or Electric or even Chaos (Electric and Chaos will have to come later, i've only just beat the tauros demon).

I also want to some slightly more poweful weapons that i'll need to 2h, you know.. for a bit of extra damage when i need it, any suggestions?

So far i'm in the burg, as i mentioned above just slayed the Tauros demon and have been helping out other players as a phanton and attempting to defend them from low lvl greifers lol.

Great combustion and the lightning reinforced club got me through most of my sl1 playthrough. you can get the pyro fairly early on if you got the master key. It's dear to upgrade it though, about 350K in total to +5 ascended flame it.

You can do what i did, join the forest cov and hope you invade a very bad high level player or a generous one. 2 roll offs(he hammered me first go, and must've felt sorry) and a bad player encounter netted me 900k, felt like christmas and my birthday all rolled into 1.

Cooping is tough as there's very few people around that level on the bosses that give a decent souls return.

Well Thanks, though with low vitality and the gankers might be a challenge, let's hope i get lucky! :shock:

Light crossbow is also useful for sl1.
Power within is a big help when it comes to the bosses.

Elemental weapons are a must.

So is Pyromancy.

And determination, and blood, tears, and sweat to shed.

Besides Avelyn, i've never really been a fan of crossbows, i think they're to slow and the aiming isn't as good as a bow, i know you can use the binoculars but i'm not able to do that in mid battle, if i want some range though i can still use my pyromancy and for luring enemies out i can use a bow regardless if i'm able to use it because it does the job lol.
I am planning on getting Power within though, i've seen some one shot challenge videos from vageta311, epic.

Seeing as my levels are low would a fap ring be useful?
For the more challenging bosses i'll probably wear Stone or Havel's.
Well i was planning on keeping the Rclub standard, upgrading to +15 and using a resing when i fight a boss, i have a fire Baxe +5, Time to fight the gargoyles
