Try searching RSC or RuneScape Classic. You may find a private server where it is still on.
But, google Old-Scape, and go on the top option. The option to play should be there, but currently, server is down, so you have to download a server client from iLivid for now.

I like to use Dds, and then a claws special follow up. But, Armadyl Godsword is lovely.

AGS spec increases the damage you WOULD HAVE done on that attack by 50%, Dds gains accuracy and has duel hits, and on P++ normally inflicts poison, it also only takes 25% spec, and in a brid duel, can wreck ahrims/mystic with 60s.
Claws are only good for a finisher, but dds is safer than claws.
Obviously the best brid weapon.

Looks like you haven't left behind all the PvP info. 
Anyway, I am proud of being rich enough to spend 17M on a sword.
But, Lost City was an easy enough quest to do, and the DDS P++ was well worth it. When I was playing, they were 30k each, and yes, I usually go 2 specs from the DDS and then a spec with the Claws. Absolutely wrecks.
I remember doing Monkey Madness just to use the Dragon Scimitar. Doing that quest at level 45 is sheer hell.

I bought it for 30k
Wrecked my own levels at duel arena
Saw it was going up
Sold it for 50k
2 weeks later it's going for 300k
I didn't get another maul for a year after that
I was so poor back then

Granite Maul was only good for low level strength pures. It's still quite high price, around 80k I think. But I did a lot of profiteering buying weapons low and selling them high. e.g. Bought 10 Dragon Claw pairs for 100k each on release day. 1 week later, 20M each. Sold all but 1. 180M.

In reality, the biggest profit I ever made was only max cash. I was losing a bunch in FF and I was like "YOLO" and I put in a cracker and won. Needless to say I stopped playing FF after that day.

Most if not all current private servers give boosts to stat training, thus you level much fast. In Soul Split, the hardest RSPS I currently know of in terms of training, you still get 5x the amount of EXP you normally would, and that's on Legendary mode.
