Quality build + broadsword (advices?)

This is my only SL100 I have, as I tend to favor SL120 :

This is how I play it :
- Most of my fights are hit and run
- R2 just after my opponent attacks to abuse the fast swing of the sword, then I roll
- R1 when my opponent tries to lure me to attack first and backstab me if
I choose to R2 instead. I'm trying to use R1 at kinda random times in
this case as I found myself parried a lot while playing too obviously at
the start.
- Forward rolling R1 is very rare as I feel it's realy
easy to parry. I do it only When I think I can hit in my opponent
recovery animation. rolling sideway or backward + R1 could maybe be an
option against aggressive players, but I did'nt have a lot of success
with it yet.
- Roll backstab is very rare too, as I'm not too
confortable with it. My backstabs are either pivot, or simply locked
when I think there is an opening.
- I can't describe how I use the bow. Let's say, I use it. My arrows are large or poisoned
- Parry when I get my timing right and don't get tricked by my opponent.
- Toggle escape on the second hit if I'm stunned.

I menu switch
broadsword with : shotel, demon spear depending on situation.
bow with dark silver tracer
crest shield with heater shield if I want to use the spear and the bow at the same time
DWGR can be switched with hornet(with DST, when I face an estus addict or a R1 Spammer) or wolf.

I'm far from being a pro, and I'd like to improve using your opinions and experiences.
What are your advices about it?
What would you do I don't?
I don't like the look of my toon : Darth Vader helm + gray Tshirt + shorts. Any suggestion?

Throw in a few kicks, broadsword is quick enough to get in a hit after the stagger. Kick, swing, swing, kick breaks the poise alot of the times.

I'm not an expert bit i'd go for a but more poise, anyone with decent poise and poise breaking weapon will swing through your attack and stun you. I'd go with the wolfs over the dwgr when using the broadsword because of its poor reach.

Haaa. Interesting. Kick is something I rarely use, I have to try things like this.
It would help me to be a bit less on the defensive side.

It's great works wonders on parry spammers. Main reason i don't use curved swords or rapiers; no kick ,anytime i do use a rapier i get parried as i went for a kick by reflex.

The only problem I see with kick is I don't seem to be able to execute it 100% of the time i try.
I'd say 1/4 times I miss and do a regular R1 instead.

Any idea for an armor with a better look and fairly good stats for this setup?

Go for 35 poise, this gives 35 poise and an OK look(not extravagant but it works):

Practice the kicks, you'll get better at it eventually, i still miss the odd one.

Compared to my 32 poise version, it's something like 50 defense difference.
I will try to see if I like the look.
Is there a real + to go for 35 poise instead of 32?

No point in 35 poise. The breakpoint is 36. You should be fine with 32 since you're using a fast weapon and you have dwgr and you know how to toggle escape.

Ah, I thought the breakpoint was 35. In that case it's better to have 32 poise and more defense.

Broadsword isnt a high Damage weapon its all about the chain combo's The r1's flow straight into the R2's so quickly you can easily stack up 1000+ damage while avoiding a setup parry.

The r2's should be used during an enemies roll as it will 90% catch them as they finish the I-Frames
also it can DA very well if your On PSN i will gladly show you "some" of my techniques for this Perfect Blade

Yes, I'm on PSN, and I'd like to see your techniques.
I don't use it that way at all, it's almost 100% hit and run for me, and I already find it very powerfull with it's fast swing and surprisingly long reach.
My online time is in the evening (GMT+2).
