Forest invader no invasion lvl cap?

Ok i know you can invade up as far as it goes,does the same go for down? I usually go in there at a very low level to get some practice and just to generally have a bit of fun. The past 2 nights i've been invading with a LVL 47(highest i've gone near forest with) and i've started coming up against some players considerably lower, 20 was the lowest so far. i actually start dropping half decent weapons and titanite chunks when i see a drake sword. So is it possibly for me to called on a SL1?

It should be the normal formula for Forest covenant. How did you confirm this level 20? I've never had any problems with it.

Not saying it didn't happen, just curious on the confirmation here. I've definitely never invaded a lower level, most of the time I just get ganked when foresting.

Only got around 400-500 souls from it. Was definately invading a few lower than me, my next level/10 was greater than theirs but he seemed to be the lowest.

if you got 400-500 souls your victim was around sl 25-30 - forest hunters can for sure invade lower sl's: so not level cap there, neither up nor down.
darkmoon can also invade down, but it has something to do with how much sin the invaded person has and is supposedly calculated with some formula.
when i'm forest hunting i have the impression that the game always "tries" to find someone around my sl level for me.

I've never invaded anyone more than the normal formula below me, but if you have proof like that then yes, there is no level cap. Sorry for being a hassle.

Alright, I did the math and the host was between level 27 and 25.

Based on your level +(10 + 10%)

I calculate that you were either 40.7 or 38.5

Or if the formula is misleading and you do ten percent of your level not after the plus ten. 39.7 or 37.77.

If you were any above, any of those four numbers; then you can invade lower levels without cap. Assuming the exp was exactly 400-500 and not above or below at all.

I was 47, same again last night and invaded a lvl 34(700ish souls) at the lowest, definately no cap on the upper, invaded 2 X 240's, actually beat them but had help as mayhem\rosie invaded pretty soon after me,, well mayhem did 90% of the work but i did a good job of the damsel in distress distracting the gankers.

Well of course there isn't a system for upper, that is normal formula.

Based on the normal formula math from earlier, a level 47.4 could invade a level 34. Fits normal formula. Assuming I'm understanding the equation correctly anyway.

Always knew the upper one, bumped into a few 600's on pc but i never knew you could invade that far down, done alot of drakwraith and it was above my level or within 2-3 sl below my level. Must use the million odd souls i got to level up, level differences matter more at low-lowish levels.

sendicard is right with his calculations, and i may be wrong that there's no level cap for invading lower levels.
ah there it is again: after so many hours of gameplay - something i don't know.....
i have a sl 21 that has some humanity and access to the forest, maybe i'll do some hosting on pc later on. i don't really expect to win any, but if you ask invaders are usually cooperatively and give you an answer.
btw: darkwraiths can only invade 10% of their sl down - pretty sure about that, as i have tested that myself

I've invaded a 85 as a level 100 when Darkwraithing, they follow formula.

The only covenant that I've ever heard of confirming something like this is Darkmoon, even it has regulations.

I only learned about the formula because of a question I had a while back. It is amazing the kind of things you still learn about the game though.

All bets are off with darkmoon, i've invaded a lvl 40 as a 100 about 8 times in an hour once in dukes. Got talking to him and he'd accrued a bucketload of sin, same happened to me last time i went near oollacille early on in pc, i'd a load of sin from my forest adventures and got absolutely hammered by darkmoons for hours, thats when i learned to hate the dmb buff.

My point exactly, darkmoon can negate the formula through regulation. They technically follow the same formula, but +1 is added to the formula for every sin. So a level 5 with 500 sin could be invaded by a level 500.
