Dark Anor Londo Appreciation Empty Dark Anor Londo Appreciation

Post by wolfboy Wed Apr 17, 2013 4:02 am

big grin I killed gwyndolin today with one of my builds and spent some time hosting in Dark Anor Londo tonight...

Dark Londo is awesome! I had some fantastic, random 2v2s there tonight- very cool scene!

The highlight was an epic 2v2 that went for a good 5-6 minutes and eventually ended in very dramatic fashion with me almost killing both Darkmoons (one of them had killed my summon at that point) but falling off the walkway near the rotating staircase just as I was about to nail them with a Great Combustion...

I really need to spend more time in DAL...

I love dark Anor Londo! The atmosphere is totally different. I always felt a lot safer in the daylight version since everything is golden with the setting sun, but once I killed Gwynevere, the whole thing changed for me. Congrats on that fight!

i can't stand PVP in Dark Anor Londo or in the Duke's Archives for the simple fact that the lock does not friggen work in those areas. one roll is enough to lose my lock on and all of sudden i'm looking at the floor or the ceiling or anything but my opponent. it's so annoying!

learn to fight without lock-on, if u master it u will fight more this way cause bs and dead angle works better without lock-on

it's so much easier to strafe spammers and halberd or polearm users while locked-on though.

Though by that same logic, assuming everyone is having problems with the lock-on, I would think that any type of polearm or halberd would be more difficult to use to begin with, considering those types of weapons are much more precision-oriented.

It's definitely fun, and jarring compared to the lit world. Very creepy in places, and spell effects like CSSs look very different. I've been waiting for someone to put together like a Friday the 13th slasher PvP video to take advantage of the vibe -- crystallized helmet, machete, jumping people in dark rooms and then running away, that sort of thing. The dream lives on.

The atmosphere is awesome. The people who camp there, are not (gankers, I mean).

I generally don't like invading there, when I invade as a red all I meet are gankers and dishonorable 1v1 where the opponent will WoG and fish you as soon as he starts losing. I also never get any backup from blues, they just never show up to aid me.
