they both have completely different effects and lore description, just because a ring looks similiar to another doesn't mean it is the same

I do know what you mean by looks, I got careless after killing the centipede demon and put on the wrong one...but I'd say they do have visual differences as well as both lore and effects

Yes, pretty much exactly like that, but immediately after the centipede lol.
It was a good eye, there is just very little to connect the two. The orange charred ring was gifted to someone or something to help with burning sores or something like that. The calamity ring essentially does the exact opposite, although because they do appear so similar, with rather paralleled effects; it's not unlikely they could be made by the same person. Complete speculation though, I would have to go over some item descriptions again I'm a bit rusty

Similarities do not mean they are the same.
Red Tearstone and Blue Tearstone aren't the same ring, are they?
Ring of Fog and Cat Covenant Ring are not the same ring?

I apologize if I sound ride, it's just my inherent bluntness. I don't mean to attack your theories, whether I agree or not. It's also challenging to articulate thoughts with such a tiny touch screen key board lol
