Armor/weapon in the Cover

Does anybody knows what sword and armour the guy in the cover of the game is wearing?

I think it is the Greatshield of Artorias and one of his greatswords; but I am not sure and I want to know to make an RP build based on it.

I'm pretty sure its not 100% in game, but it closest resembles the Black Knight Greatsword.

Elite Knight Chest

Wanderer Legs

Not sure about helm

I've been told that it actually is Artorias himself. And he seems to be left-handed. So GSwordOA (uncursed) in left hand, GShieldOA in right hand, and Artorias' armour set. Although, the armour is post-corruption... You can try Elite Knight armour instead, if you wish.

I'd go with:

Elite knight helm
Elite knight torso
Giant gauntlets
Wanderer boots

Greatsword of artoras/black knight great sword left hand

Baldershield/ Greatshield of Artorias right hand.

Found this image when I was looking for the sword to compare on my disc case and lo and behold, they do look quite similar.

The armour does seems to be not in game; but I think a patchwork of 1337 knight body+silver/black armour could be a decent approximation.

Not sure if he is Artorias, in the game he wields his sword in the right hand (like the player) and in the image the guy is left handed, plus the Artorias set is quite different (I guess it could be the original design though)

For the shield I am thinking on going cleansing greatshield, great stability, decent defences and less pre-requisites than the actual greatshield.

I'm pretty sure its just an early concept of a Black Knight, and that being said, Artorias equipment is very similar to the black knights, so they could have just changed to look like him

ok this is a little off topic but not entirely. did anyone notice that the guy on the cover is left handed, he's holding his sword in the left and shield in the right because his back is facing the cover

Aye, I noticed. Check post #4 in this thread.

Why do people keep saying the cover art guy is left-handed?

He's facing the camera with the sword in his "left" hand.

That means the sword is actually in his RIGHT hand, not left (it is the opposite if the other person is facing you).

He is facing away from you. Their helmet does not have a visor or any opening, and the scarf is raised to protect the back of the neck. Also, if you look at their lower half, the are walking away from you as well.
