my sl1 RAGE moment.

So I started an SL1 run... kicking *** and taking names for the most part.

-Taurus ... lol
-Gargs .... hit me once or twice?
-Capra ... got past the dogs like a pro but he almost one shots me. Eventually got it on 1st try.
-Gaping... stomped on my face for a 1hko. Brushed it off, got him the 2nd time
-Fatty #2 took a few tries ... once you get behind him it's pretty simple
-big bad butterfly ? seriously? easiest boss in the game imo

-killed hydra got elf ears... took a try or two... i suck at dodging the magic attacks


Blight town.... took it the long way... you know... for sport. Died once or twice on my way down but was ok.

-Kellog - rtsr dwgr killed her on 1st try ... crazy witch didn't touch me (FLAWLESS VICTORY!@!!@!)

-Ceaseless gave me a lot of trouble, I decided to fight him head on...
something I had very little experience doing. Probably got him on like
the 10th+ try... STILL OK, NO RAGE YET!!!

At this point I'm starting to feel really good about myself. I run
through demon ruins to grab the large flame ember... run through great
hollow for crafting materials. Get my pyro glove ascended to 2 or 3...
don't remember.


Next on my list... run to vamos, make as high level fire
weapon as I can... kill Pinhead...buy bellowing ring.... proceed to
Sen's fun house. This is where it turns ugly.


I'm happily sprinting through the catacombs... one shotting
necros with GC. I get to the round staircase and I can't get a clean
drop to hole in the ground. EVERY TIME I TRY... NO MATTER WHAT I DO... I
CAN"T FIND THE HOLE... AND THE DROP KILLS ME....


SIGH... sigh.... ARRGHFDJSL:JDF!!@#!@#!

Wait till you get to the bonewheel pit and Kalameet
Well, the bonewheel area can easily be mastered if you can lure them one by one and dodge them(tricky)

But Kalameet is just plain impossible, the timing wasn't made for humans to beat at SL1.

Kalmeet... hmm... certain attacks are definitely a concern. When I first fought him I wanted to cut off his tail, I did nothing but dodge his attacks to find an opening. I got pretty good at it. DWGR is a good friend.

To be honest, the thought of facing manus has given me much more anxiety up to this point. Hardest boss in the game IMO.

Just take the major shortcut. Problem solved. No holes required.

I was under the impression that I need to drop down the hole for him to bust open an exit. I didn't think I could get to him by just taking the main shortcut.

You don't need to jump straight from the stairs into the hole you know. Just jump (no need to actually jump, just run off the stairs) down to the first rock, then the second, heal, and make the last jump.

Thanks Dibbs. I've been having a lot of fun so far. It has made PvE interesting again.

I saw your warning on kellog.

I usually co op her on most chars to get some quick souls for pyros before moving on. I got her down pretty good.

If you want to drop me a line so I can climb down to vamos... that would be great

Dude... you have no idea. I thought I'd get all of catacombs done in 10 min while I sip my coffee before work.... boy was I wrong.

I decided long ago that rofap is a trap. DWGR + RTSR has been great. The only thing really worth it would be the extra stamina... i think the small life boost + a little equip load is just not worth it.

No worries Dibs, I'm at work for another 2 hrs anyway. Unless you can place some pillows by that drop to vamos... I think there's little you can do to help me here.

I expect sens and anor lando to be real challenges.

I tried ninja flipping / jumping to that first ledge and failed. I think after the first couple tries I just got frustrated with it. Maybe I'll have better luck tonight.

I think ToG will be the easiest "lord soul" area (assuming offline / no flickering). The fact that you can 1 shot the bone dogs with pyro makes it less scary.

Lost izilith, if taking the shortcut, is pretty simple to run through.

But do it after obtaining the Lord Vessel. Going back from the 2nd bonfire in ToG is....well not fun. :evil:
