Judging by the size and radiant aura of CD I'd say he's had more than his share of curries and kebabs!

Re: Who Names Some Of These Things!
I believe many have a German sound to them, such as ornstein, and the zweihander.
I find ceaseless discharge, and the penetrator funny, especially if they are unintentional

Re: Who Names Some Of These Things!
There are people named Tarkus, Kaathe, Gough, Smough, Quelana, Quelaag, Artorias, Seath, Manus.
There's even a *** crossbow called Avelyn, a sword called Server, fish vertebrae called "Dark Silver Tracer", an ORANGE GOLD tracer, a giant exploding hammer called Grant, a horn, and a 4 meter long "machete"
And the one thing that caught your attention was ceaseless discharge
EDIT: Names aside, there's also a wooden hammer that makes electricity, a traveling diaper, the Joker, and that yellow...thing
Not mentioning the fact that you can wear toothed chests, bugs, tumors, and other people's tumors on your head.
You can even wear dads and children

Re: Who Names Some Of These Things!
They are names from Lordran, obviously.ResIsBestStat wrote:Ciaran, Gough, Artorias, Ornstein, Quelaag....

I suppose it would feel out of place if they had actual people names.
Also, if the names should originate from a specific country, I would say Ornstein's name is german, as stein originates from germany and means "rock" or "stone".

Gwyn is Welsh for "white". Gwynevere and Gwyndolin are also Welsh related.

Re: Who Names Some Of These Things!
Domhnall is a name of Welsh and Scottish antiquity. The modern name of Donald actually comes to us from it.
Lautrec is French, but is usually a surname.
Havel is Czech and again, usually a surname.
Most of the names in this game really are real, just incredibly antiquated. The people of From Soft did a good job choosing names as opposed to creating extremely bizarre names characteristic of many Japanese games. As for ceaseless discharge... It really does sound like a symptom of syphilis.

Re: Who Names Some Of These Things!
Gwyn sounds like gouine in french, wich means lesbian.
So it was translated Gwen in the french version
Ornstein seems to be german. It whould pronounced orn-sh-tine ("ine" like in wine) and not ornstin

- "The Penetrator"
- Ceaseless Discharge
- "Gaping" Dragon
- The Ring of "Favor And Protection", worn buy a guy with armor that embraces itself
And probably the most flagrant
- "Sticky white stuff". It adds "Magic" damage.
